IT Jobsworths

I use the DMS system, i configure the system to my own parameters, i know the system inside out, but i am not allowed to train other people how to use it. I have to wait 2 weeks for a date to become available for training and then fight the the design team to be here for training and then all the design information gets distributed wrongly in the meantime blah blah blah.

IT w*nkers

Having to type up interviews rather than bumming about and doing nothing all day.

That said, the prospect of being able to chill out and relax is making me get my work done waaaay faster than I otherwise would have.

My knee is still killing me and is pissing me off a bit. Seems like my body is constantly getting injuries lately which is annoying as my back has just pretty much got better and able to start fight training again. I really want to start training again but don't want to do what I used to do and just ignore it till it's really bad and I'm out for longer.

    • I don’t think the festival automatically ‘need’ to have a female headliner if you have strong female headliners on the Other Stage (which I reckon will be Rosalia and Phoebe Bridgers), perhaps a female legend (praying for Annie, will take Cher), and a few female/mix gendered subs on the Pyramid (maybe London Grammar, The xx). From what I’ve seen of Sabrina, her team prioritises the pay day and I think she will be doing Wembley over Glasto weekend.   One thing I’ve noticed is a lot of the suggestions would be first time headliners and I can’t work out when the last time was that the festival had three artists top the bill that hadn’t topped it before? It seems to be something they like to do to make sure they have a ‘safe’ headliner that will land well with the masses. Plenty of names in that hat that could step back up next summer and should/could be about: Billie Eilish, Adele, Foo Fighters, The Cure, Radiohead, U2…hell, if Beyoncé is really planning to release a ‘rock n roll’ album to complete her Renaissance trilogy, Glastonbury would be a great place to ‘kick off’ that campaign for her.   And there’s always the Rihanna rumour. Her husband (I think) said this week she’s in the studio.
    • And all (or all but one) of the secret sets repeats though?
    • 1. Coming with my sister (our 4th Sziget together) 2. 3 days (Thursday-Saturday). Would rather do Tuesday-Thursday but not enough AL 😞 3. Wednesday evening  4. Apartment  5. FATM (will be my 10th Florence’s gig) 6. Parcels/Paris Paloma
    • Temperature was the main issue - luke warm at best
