it's a call centre though. they usually have a big turnover of staff. you'll get loads of people going through the training then leaving, or leaving after a week or two. if they gave people wage advances, they wouldn't be able to claim it all back cause people could leave and they haven't earned enough wages for the advance to be deducted from.

See they have a training thing, and after that you get put in your specific place and get more used to the role (depending on strengths and weaknesses of the training period they deicide where your best suited). It does deal with phones and that, but there's other bits too, and it's all inbound calls anyway. To be honest I'm not entirely sure what it is exactly yet lol.

It's up near Charing Cross. Big massive building with about six - seven floors.

That was very much the case... Although appalling is a strong word... I couldn't read the number plates in the past...

My new optiiton reckons my prescription was a bit too strong... So me and wifey measured out the 20 meters from some number plates on our street and I can see them!! :)

So I want to past my test asap to get it out of the way...

I was wondering if the new license plates make a difference... Can't find any old style ones...

    • UK to strip back procurement rules to focus on job creation, says Louise Haigh https://www.ft.com/content/9878a2e4-3ac5-43b0-b2c9-b1fe1a4b65e7?syn-25a6b1a6=1   Burnham is not serious about tackling climate change. Having conditions on govt contractors is one of the easiest ways to drive standards and behaviour.

    • What is too old for Leeds Fest now ?  I'm going to the Fontaines Saturday in a few weeks at 54 !!!  I may be the oldest there 🙂    Wythenshawe may be an option for WA.
    • Pretty much all festivals lose out on major artists because of production limitations though. Glastonbury is no different to most other festivals.  Lots of acts can/will adapt their tour production to suit festival stages if they want to play them, but some acts with stage designs and routines just don't want to adapt, and would rather just stick with a rigid, well-rehearsed production and take the money for their own gigs, whether that's a lot more than playing Glastonbury, or slightly less than playing some other festivals (but with added complications). Trying to adapt the stage, layout, access to b-stages etc to accommodate a single headliner on a Friday and then having to change it all around for a Saturday headliner isn't really a goer when most headliners can just easily adapt their show to stay on a main stage, if they're so inclined. They have a year to figure out how to perform a song on a main stage and ditch a few dance routines out on a b-stage if they really put their mind to it. It's not that difficult......
    • I would be all over Wolf Alice but may have outgrown this venue.    Also have to consider the schedule they have been on this year so may be on a break.  This last 10 days alone they did Tramlines, New York, Chicago and Kendal Calling.  Although make hay while the sun shines may come into play.
