I like to look at the snow and to walk in it but I'm not so keen on playing in it, playing in it makes it look messy and should be banned.

Hence he has missapropriated it (or maybe even obtained by deception) he took the grit intended for spreading on paths and sold it. If he had taken it and gritted the area around his shop that would have been diffrent. Selfish to use a whole bag gritting outside your shop but still using the stuff for what it was inteded. However he took it and used it for something it wasnt intended...

So i hear along the grapevine that its snowing a bit in england.

Im currently in Budapest where that has been the occasional light dusting of snow in the last week.

Will the snow affect me flying back into gatwick on saturday. Or will it all be gone by then?

I work in London, E4, and we have had about six inches in the last 24 hours. Got sent home from work at 3. Sweet. Praying for more snow tomorrow so I won't have to go in.

My daughter was supposed to be flying back from Eurodisney tonight but got to CDG and flight was cancelled. Next flight out is saturday so she's being put up with meals at a hotel by easyjet and gets 30 euros every 12 hours they are stuck. As a 17 year old you can imagine how absolutely devastated she is by all this

Ok the boy has just said a gritter/snow plough has just been down the road and snow ploughed the road.

Before it was all rutty and frozen and cars were getting grip on the bits sticking up and the bits of tarmac showing.

The snow plough has just levelled it all off into a single sheet of ice and cars are all over the place. The grit is sitting on top not dong anything cos its so bloody chilly here......

No, no, no and erm...NO!

Another bucketing of snow forecast for the South east on Saturday and the temperatures not going about -1c until actually noone knows.

Ice is the gonna be the issue tonight -6c in most southern parts and way lower the further north you are.

We have got days of this ahead of us.

Good luck at good old Gatwick. It only opened up a short while ago with one runway and they have to clear the backlog of over 400 flights first before getting back on schedule. Joy joy joy!

Snow brought down an overhead power cable on the railway line outside my flat last night. Very limited service this morning means I'm working from home. Sweet.

been having real problems over the last week or so with the car starting and its a diesel.........apparantly they don't like the cold

My car is buried in the snow. It hasn't moved since Monday. I'd booked it in for an MOT tomorrow....unless there's a big thaw today I doubt it will be going.
