...and lots of other cheesy pop acts over the years!

All played, all got pretty bloody big audiences, shitloads of people whinged incessantly for f**king months about all of them...these artists STILL PLAYED and noone got hurt!

If it means that a large tranche of the ever increasing numbers of kids (and their parents that attend with them) have something to go and see and that they are going to really enjoy then why the f**k not eh?

Lady Gaga pulled in a f**king huge audience and HOW long did the bitching go on for here?

Ditto for Jay Z! Both were pretty stunning performances that had the press and the audiences very surprised and thousands of folk had an awesome time.

Rihanna playing Glastonbury is an inspired idea. Didnt see anyone complaining about similar single female artists such as VV Brown, Gabriela Cilmi, Roisin Murphy. All have more or less one big sing along hit. Why...this girl is a superstar and ahem...a bit hiphop/R&B...does it warrant the bullshit reaction that is laid down by some folk!

A decent 6pm slot on Friday/Saturday. Lily was brilliant in that slot this year ...reckon Rihanna will be too!

I can assure you I complained about the acts you mention.

Oh and as for that list of cheesy pop acts, they are a bunch of utter anuses listened to only by cretins.

"I would love to be there," she said. "Even if I’m not headlining I’d love to be there. It's a great festival and a great platform for me to be on."

I'd quite like to nail her, as she's insanely fine.

But this, no. Im not having. No way. I dont care how stunning you are love, you're never going to headline our festival. 'A great platform for ME to be on'. RAGE.

Glastonbury tries to represent differnet cultures and religions as best they can.

But you seem to be a person who doesn't have a clue what he's talking about so you wont understand that. One of those "Glastonbury is too commercial" types.

Actually - wasn't it her Umbrella song that cursed the netire summer of 2007? The rain started the week it went to Number 1 and miraculously stopped the week it was knocked off.

I think I can say that for her contribution to the most persistently wet Glastonbury anyone can remember, she really shouldn't be allowed any where near the place.

As I have said, I am all for variety, but I am not sure Rhianna is a risk we can take - No Rain No Compromise!!
