I am a little surprised that of the 175k people that will be going to the festival, there are only 150 people watching this according to the viewer count on this live stream

I agree, in comparison, some of the others sound incomplete, while these guys sound much tighter and professional.

I'm glad i was one of the 65, more talent on display here tonight than the alternative on tv this evening, Ant and Dec!

Good qustion by Markee, do you know what slot is the prize for this competition?

I recall Golden Silvers opening the Other stage in recent years, I think they won the ETC recently.

It is one of the major stages that is the quoted prize. This I think depends upon what kind of genre of music wins. However as far as I can recall winners have had Other Stage appearances, as well as sets on various other stages.

Liz Green played the Pyramid and not Other as her prize for winning ... tho that was cos she just wasn't an Other Stage act.

Must be difficult to judge an eclectic assortment of bands for differently themed stages, plus not let personal taste get in the way. Bit like the Mercury Prize.

Agree with beermonster, My Luminaries sounded the most accomplished (e.g. for Other Stage) so far, but have been at it since 2004 I saw. The Alt-Folk all sounded good for the Acoustic Stage. I'm pretty sure I know who John Peel would have chosen for his stage though. Shall listen in again tonight anyway.

It will be interesting to find out the opinion on my favorites. I will be on line to find out. I like Mayhew ( Kathy Wilcox ) and Lets Buy Happiness.

OK, so after two night i still stand by my first opinions, That Lets by Happiness , Meyhew , and Ellen and the Escapades were the stand out acts for me.

So one of those three should win
