Anyone else not really care who plays?

Mostly go for the music; every time there's a gap in the schedule with no-one particular I want to see I just head to the John Peel stage (like others) and see a bunch of bands I don't know.

Often works out heaps better than looking at flags or the backs of peoples heads on the main stages

Surely...

The second law of posting on the internet states that when correcting a grammar or spelling mistake in another post, you have to make one yourself.

? :P

I'd actually argue against that, but I can't because in order for the second rule to stand there needs to be an error on that last post of mine. I think it's perfectly acceptable to use a gerund prefixed with the object of the verb in question.

Anyone? Is "law of posting" even a gerund? I've forgotten.

I enjoyed last year's line up very much.

What I was trying to say was.....Am I the only one who is irked by the nature of this thread. A culture of trying to outdo one another's ambivalence towards the line-up sometimes occurs on this board, I thought.

But maybe I am the only one to find this irritating.

Therefore, I have such scant disregard for the line up that my preference would be to sit in a portaloo for the duration of the festival

:P:P

It's not that I'm ambivalent towards the line-up - I do care who plays. But I'm quite happy to leave the choice of line-up to the Glastonbury bookers, because I'm totally confident that they'll do the fantastic job that they always do.

In fact, I know they'll do a better job at it than if I picked a line-up to suit myself, because if I did that I'd pick my obvious choices, and I much prefer the surprises they always manage to include, as well as the stuff I have no idea about yet stumble across and find to be fantastic.

I dont really care anymore which bands are playing. I did care from about 11am till 1pm on the friday of my first glastonbury and then i didnt.

Dont get me wrong, i dig the music and each year there are bands i want to see and even set off to go and see, but i just get disctracted and end up on some crazy little side adventure

If you do really really want to see a band and need to travel between stages/areas my only advice can be to build in plenty of "dicking around" time into your journeytime and u might just make it :P

I look forward to the good, the bad and the ugly. Its great fun speculating but lets face it we have no influence whatsoever....so sit back and enjoy the ride.Has there ever been a Glastonbury that didnt have at least a handful of top class bands that everybody loves? Even if Simply Red appear on the listing it will do nothing to dampen my exitment.....surely its being there that counts?

Still hope Led Zep play though. :P

As much as I personally would like to pick the line up I'm not that bothered really*. I've been going to Glastonbury for a few years now, I love it more than any other festival I've been too, and I know that most of the stuff will not be to my taste so I just live with it. I'm more into the Download/Reading type line up so get used to Glastonbury not supplying the bands I want to see and just go off and do other things and enjoy it for many other reasons.

*I do still reserve the right to complain about shit(in my opinion) bands such as Muse, Coldplay etc playing :P:P .
