Emerging acts - Who have you stumbled upon recently

Are there any unsigned or emerging acts who you have discovered recently, either at pub gigs/events or on myspaz and have thought they deserve a go at glasto.

Came across 'David Goo and the Variety Band' at an event in London last night. Not sure how you would describe it ... circus funk folk maybe? Absolutely brilliant live (not sure whether it would work on record). They seemed ideal for a gig in one of the more obscure tents at glasto.

Who else have people just discovered and want to champion? You never know who reads these pages ...

I'm absolutely loving Wild Beasts. They won't be to everyone's liking but I think they're great. I haven't seen them live yet though; off to Amsterdam at the end of November to rectify this. Can't wait!

I'm also enjoying Bombay Bicycle Club. Although they did play at Glastonbury this year I would love to see them in a more prominent position next year.

Also really like Ou est Le Swimming Pool, they were at Glasto this year but they are really good!

Possibly a bit 'bigger' than you were thinking of when starting this thread but I would love to see The Airbourne Toxic Event there next year. Have caught them live a couple of times and really enjoyed!

I just getting into underground heroes, there very catchy and their lyrics are pretty funny. I haven't seen them live but they live about 5 miles away from me.

If you like them then you should listen to LOOK SEE PROOF who I've just discovered, there quite similar.

We saw Twisted Wheel recently at a really small gig who were actually really good.

There debut album didnt get much of a write up but if you like that sort of thing then they are great.

Really good gig and think they deserve a shot.

The Big Pink! Awesome band, their supporting muse on the resistance tour in the UK, so I thought I would check them, you may have heard dominoes on the radio or on the xbox 360 with sky player ads. I think they was on the T Break stage this year at TiTP. Anyway I checked out their album as I like singing along to bands at gigs and thought it was pretty good. Defo deserve a slot in the john peel.

If you been to see franz on their recent tour they have been supported by a group called Music Go Music, personally i found it bit like Abba meets status quo its all a bit wierd but caught them friday at Brixton supporting Franz and it was amazing fun and one of the best supports I have seen. Would love to see them somewhere at glasto:

Funnily enough I tried to take in some unsigned or little known stuff at Glasto this year (not nearly enough if I'm honest) and saw 2 Door Cinema Club at the BBC Introducing tent. I though they were really good and would go see them again. Their sound reminded me a bit of Editors, but not in the "I wish I was deaf" way if that makes any sense.
