I think this Pulp thing is gonna happen - I got a good feeling about this, plus there are too many co-incidences floating around too...

Richard Hawley played the Bassey Electric Proms the other night,

Jarvis popped up in my RSS feed to say he would become a radio presenter next year,

A friend returned a DVD he borrowed about 18 months aho - it was Pulp Fiction,

I put Winamp on full random last week and the first song it picked was This Is Hardcore.

All the signs point to a reunion! ;-)

Taken from Planet Sound:

Pulp deny reunion rumours

Pulp will definitely not be reforming, PS can reveal.

Newspapers have made the claim for the last two weeks.

But Jarvis Cocker told PS: "I can categorically tell Teletext that Pulp have no plans to get back together. Someone asked me if I fancied playing at the 40th anniversary of Glastonbury, I said yes, they twisted that into a 'Pulp reform' story. It's not true."

Well, you do realise that Teletext closes down forever at the beginning of December, maybe they are trying to cause as much controversy as possible before the plug is pulled on them.

Thats what I believe anyway - in a sad attempt to convince myself that the reunion is a sure thing.

    • I see there's yet another article doing the rounds about Madonna doing BST, and not Glastonbury.   That could be right, but given there'll be plenty of tickets to shift for BST, could it not just be false info doing the rounds to protect that?? Not that I think Madonna would struggle to shift tickets, or that Glastonbury would have that much impact, but still - would probably still make sense to protect ticket sales when it's announced?
    • Given BST recently I wouldn't expect it as rock heavy as that. I kinda am expecting it'd be where The Cure play though as I'm expecting a second year touring of them
    • Id suggest they would need another new album before they play again - Otherwise the show is going to probably be very similar to the one they played at the last festival.
    • Absolutely not, I dont know of it selling out but they needed TFG and Skyvip to shift them. Biffy aren't either and they didn't go to TFG and I wouldn't say Kasabian are either and they sold it out the quickest. Liam Gallagher did Finsbury Park as well and subbed the Pyramid Stage, Noah Kahan did two nights at BST and subbed the Pyramid though that's a rare one. Finsbury itself will definitely not grant you top spot, that field can hold 100k      That's fair. I'm definitely in the camp myself that Fender and Harry are most likely.
