I tell everyone who hasn't been that Glasto can be a life-changing experience. I don't think that's over-stating it. It's such a great opportunity to leave your everyday cares at the gate and reflect on the things that really matter.

OK. For the last few years - actually probably about the last 10 - I've been pretty career focused and if I'm honest started to get quite materialistic. I was chasing the next promotion, pay rise etc. quite hard to the detriment of my wife, son and social time. I had a bit of Tyler Durden moment at Glasto where I realised that it was the most free I could remember feeling - probably ever - and that a career path to earn money to buy things I didn't need was making me miserable.

I've decided that I needed to shift my priorities, spend more time with my friends and family and do things that could give me great "death-bed memories". As a result, I now see my job as a means to do the things that matter to me, rather than a vocation in it's own right. I'm happier as a result and since June I've done some things I never thought I would and met some great people on the way.

I keep dreaming about glasto loads!! I keep having this dream that I'm breaking into Micheal Eavis's house, it's so weird! He always catches me but is such a nice guy that he doesn;t bollock me!

Glasto occupies about 60% of my brain at this point in the year.

Having worked the V festival in Staffs I must say that Glasto is worth looking forward to. Each year in August when V comes round we all winge and moan about having to work it but I can't wait to Glasto totally different atmosphere, much friendlier and not as many idiots!!!!!

This is my first Glastonbury and I think it might be my downfall as this is also my final year at uni. All I can think of is Glastonbury but also have to write my dissertation, (which has nothing to do with glasto!) so if I start writing about it I think I'll be retaking the year :/
