The odds of them headlining are 20-1 which aren't amazing, there are rumours every year but with glasto hitting 40 next year and with the re release of stone roses this year - please tell me next year is the year and I will wet my pants!.

It would be amazing but I can't see it happening, same for The Smiths really.

Then again, the reunions could turn out to be utter shite and that would be an even bigger dissapointment. Would still love to see Marr and co tearing up the Pyramid Stage though!

My All time favourite band ....end of . Would I like to see them reform ? no !

Much of what makes the Roses so Legendary and mystical if you like is that not many people actually saw them - me included - the whole thing of They could have been the best and biggest band of all time may possibly be laughed off if they didnt live up to peoples expectations . Keep the legend alive .

I'm afraid I agree with you.

Funny enough I posted a few Stone Roses & Ian Brown links on my Facebook page only the other night

Some of us were lucky enough to see them at the height of 'Madchester'

Yep it is woeful. But he still a legend and by the looks of it he pulled off a cracking performance at T In The Park...

same here pal.

i was at spike - 1st proper outside gig that i ever went to.

horrendous gig - badly organised, rubbish sound (remember the wind howling across the site blowing it everywhere) nightmare to get out and home.

LOVED IT!!!

    • Annie Lennox could be the one to unite the whole forum, nobody has a bad word to say about her, even noted curmudgeon Skip 😄 I'd probably even amble along for a bit meself, and i'm also a miserable sod
    • If the below link works - thats interesting.   While I don't particularly put much stock in that account as a source (never seen it before though, tbf), and I can pick a hole or two (see below) in what he says - the timing of it is a week before I had the Fontaines '27 stadium info (same stadium he says on there, Tottenham). The info, or part of it, matches up.   Holes I'd pick: I'd have to watch again but I THINK he says 'end of year' for Tottenham - not possible, for a number of reasons, though he's probably just got his words mixed up there. It's Summer '27, or that's what I've been told. He also says Glastonbury is/would be based on how the album does. That doesn't stack up to me, unless it was a 2028 thing. I suppose that could stack up, but still seems a bit of an odd approach. I would personally still expect it to be 2027 alongside the stadium gigs, IF they are gonna do it, though I've still not got a Scooby when the album is gonna drop, only that the tour is due for Spring (or early) next year.   Interesting, nonetheless.   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaOB3Q9qkwW/
    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
    • well, we might know by the end of next month if they drop the lineup early again
