Pampers per hour scale is genius!! It's going to be off the scale this time in 2 weeks!!

Technically it's all relative to the surrounding pressure. If you think of it as height measurements then you want to be at the top of the hill. If you're in a dip, that's bad. Typically in the UK over 1000 is good, under 1000 is bad, but the main thing is top of the hill, so that map is very good.

MetCheck are definitely my friends today.

Almost moving into real weather gossip range... is anyone else harking back to GlastoWeatherWatch? Or is he around again this year?

Found my wellies last night... being prepared this early must be good encouragement for the sun.

I'm the most rational, sceptical person all year round... but this has me in superstitious overdrive!

Edit: 666 posts. I might stop talking forever now!

This is almost too promising.

I'm not sure I like this. Too good to be true and all that. I need a slap. I'm letting the side down. Help me!!!!

Pull yourself together man! Imagine if the troops see you like this. You're our leader and with your inspiration we can win this.

Oh no, you've awakened my inner weather-geek.

Air flows from highs to lows because of the pressure difference. If warm air flows (from the high) hit cool air they will rise above it (a front) which causes the air to cool (which reduces its ability to hold moisture) and it rains.

I would be willing to run a short field lesson, except the only time I have off work in the near future will be high pressure.

I'll get my coat

We shall go on to the end, we shall fight the r**n,

we shall fight r**n on the seas and oceans,

we shall fight r**n with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Glastonbury, whatever the cost may be,

we shall fight r**n on the beaches (flagtopia),

we shall fight r**n on the landing grounds (car parks),

we shall fight in the fields and in the streets (main drag),

we shall fight in the hills (stone circle);

we shall never surrender!

What is wrong with you people. Snap out of it. This is no trap. Its the weather we've been working so hard to create. Our sacrifices are making the rain gods happy and they are rewarding us.

No, one kick to each sixty times would result in a 2005-style downpour. That's what happened back then, it was all my knackers' fault.

Yes but Metcheck are about as reliable as, well, the weather. Which puts them into some kind or vortex that I don't really understand. Anyway, it's Metcheck, it'll show snowstorms by day tomorrow, with typhoons in the evening and squalls of frogs by night.

I trust Jackone. He knows.

As a side note, my Dad always gets the sun when he decides to go on holiday, without fail. He told me today he's away during Glasto, in Wiltshire. So that seals it for me. It's going to be a scorcher. ;)

    • I think it's a conscious decision this year not to publicize it beforehand. Not sure why. Maybe they have even removed the concept of a passport altogether and have something else... I like it because it helps me find parts of the program that don't function as slots in the timetable.
    • Still see Beach House with a new Album    and Tame Impala and The Strokes.
    • Yeah the rumour I heard is Glastonbury + Spurs stadium, the guy who posted it seems to be on the ball most of the time as well.   He's also now put one up for Sam fender summer shows
