I hope i'm wrong, but all accomodation in Glastonbury is fully booked for the 22nd June, managed to book one hotel in Street, got confirmation, then got e-mail saying it was cancelled cos the BBC have booked the whole hotel

Managed to get another room eventually, but no choice in the whole area.

Booked 2 rooms at Glastonbury Travelodge last year after buying tickets..............

Hope this is not a bad omen for Sunday.... please tell me it will be fine B)

In previous years these boards have been rammed before t-day. This year there's hardly anyone around. I reckon that a sure sign that the tickets will still be shifting after Christmas.

Well over 400,000 people have registered (although that includes people who registered last year and ticked the box to continue their registration to this year). There's also loads of duplicate registrations. Still reckon it might be busy on Sunday

You have to remember the whole area is a holiday/tourist hot with Cheddar, Bath, The Tor, Wookie hole (aah family holiday memories) all nearby, and not just used for a festival every year, and hotels and guest houses do sell out rooms quickly. However I have seen a few rooms still available on various hotelfinder type websites. luckily I have a friend in Yeovil who can put me up for the night.

You might try looking further afield, Chippenham, Swindon, Marlborough etc.

Or a bit more leftfield, why dont you just ask if anyone can put you up for the night through Facebook etc, nothing ventured as they say.

Also the dup registration thing, I have 3 on the go so far.

I know people who have registered and have no intention of buying a ticket tmw.

In fact I doubt they will even get round to getting one.

Then in April some excuse will come up , but they def want to come next year.

But then the reply they got when they asked me about B & B ' ing it for 5 nights at Glasto prob put em off !!!

This year will be one of the easiest for getting tickets, the lack of publicity surrounding ticket day this year is astounding.

Usually people at work are coming up to me and telling me its ticket day, yet this year not one person has said anything, I work for a large employer with over 1500 employees. When I have mentioned it to people the response has been really!!!! so early???

I think the organisers are keeping it low key this year to avoid any bad publicity with regards to low ticket sales & will be pushing the Feb 28th as the major ticket sale day. The cost is certainly a major factor this year. I was hoping to go campervan but having to pay for 2 tickets up front to get a camper ticket has put paid to that little exercise so my other half will not be going....

Very faulty logic there. If they were worried about slow ticket sales, the last thing they would do is set about a plan to minimise promoting the festival.

Feb 28th is the settlement day by the way - a subsequent sale day hasn't been announced yet (unless I'm a bit behind - which is always possible  )

    • TOP 10 acts (top 5 in bold😞   Blood Orange (ciutat)   Guitarricadelafuente   Oklou - Looks like I'm capable of enjoying music in the rain after all, just not the whole night.   Rilo Kiley   The Cure   Jade   Depresión Sonora   Gelli Haha (Parc del Forum) - Her music never really clicked with me. Until I saw her live.   MARINA   Six Sex (ciutat) - I was shocked how supersmall the venue was and that almost everyone (except for me) knew every word of every song (including the ones that were released this weekend!).   Honorable mention:   Ashnikko - missed the first 15 minutes (because of Gelli Haha) and I'm not really a fan of her music, but the show was an absolute blast.
    • Totally agree about PinkPantheress stage choice. 'Luckily' for me, one of my main targets, fakemink, was absolutely awful, meaning that I left early and was in a surprisingly good spot at Cupra before it got totally packed.
    • As many said before, not my favourite Primavera. sh*tty weather is something I'm not really used to when enjoying music. Poor communication (more than 1 hour long radio silence during the worst rain) didn't help, but the main problem was me. I decided to leave the venue after things seemed to be getting back to normal. Massive Attack were supposed to play again (with Hymn of the Big Wheel back on the setlist!) as were all other artists on the smaller stages (including Fcukers with one my favourite albums of the year). FOMO was at an all-time high. However, after 4 hours in the rain, I had to admit to myself that I'm not cut out for this. I wasn't even that soaked (water-proof jacket worked). I was just fed up with the rain, wind and cold and wasn't able to enjoy music anymore.   Also, they should stop ignoring the growth of some artists between signing them up and their actual performance. Both PinkPantheress and Ninajirachi sets were ruined for me by completely inadequate stage choice.   However, I felt very much the same way after the 2022 edition and have thoroughly enjoyed all subsequent editions. So I'm still buying early bird tickets for 2027 and hoping this was a hiccup not the start of a downward trend.
    • I will definitely be buying a 2027 early bird pass, partially because of the priority reservation privileges for the Ciutat sets. Hopefully the organization will take action to improve upon this year's failings. Because I thought the free water options and sound quality were an improvement over last year, so clearly they can actually implement positive changes.   I also hope all the douchebag chompers get in the sea, cause I was more bothered by them than in the past few years.   Highlights: The Cure, Ninajirachi, Knocked Loose, Current 93, Blood Orange.
    • Similar feelings to a few others on here. Not my personal favourite edition but a long way from giving up on it. Felt overcrowded at times and there are just too many people there that don't seem to like music that much! Hardly went to main stages which was the plan. Highlights Ralphie Choo, rusowsky, Gorillaz, Geese, Gelli Haha, The Sophs, PinkPantheress, Dijon. Accommodation booked for next year. Thanks for your company and comments over the past year.
