This was our second EOTR and we absolutely loved the music again.

Top of my wishlist for next year would be a review of the after live music entertainment.....for the second year running we wandered aimlessly from venue to venue looking for something enjoyable to finish off the evening

PLEASE give the EOTR DJs in the Big Top something decent to play!!!

I completely accept it isn't a 'clubbing' event and wouldn't want it to be but surely there's scope for something people can have a bit of a dance to ?

Am I a lone voice on this front?

Some more suggestions for next year (many already mentioned but a groundswell can't hurt):

Yo La Tengo

Vic Chesnutt

Black Francis

Laura Veirs

Mary Margaret O'Hara

Papercuts

M Ward (or Monsters of Folk, or She & Him)

Camera Obscura

Deerhoof

Grant Lee Phillips

Micah P Hinson

Sufjan Stevens

Lambchop

Having said all this, this year's festival was up with best, despite being unfamilar with many of the bands beforehand. Some great discoveries this year.

Last night between The flick of a switch and the dream I imagined Arcade Fire, Richard Hawley with A Girl Called Eddy and Guillemots all playing the Garden Stage! It was one hell of a night ;))

Acts I wouldn't mind seeing

Peter Broderick - I know he played this year but he deserves to come back

Heather Woods Broderick - Peter's sister (played with him and Efterklang this year) and deserves a slot of her own - her new album sounds pretty damn good

Dirty Three - It's been two years since they last played

Akron Family - As above

And now for some EOTR first timers

Pavement - Perhaps unrealistic but no harm in asking

Gablé - Awesome French band and great fun live

DJ Yoda for the dance tent

A Silver Mt Zion

Amiina

Do Make Say Think

Khonnor

Billy Bragg - he only lives around the corner

Bell Orchestre

My Latest Novel

Mogwai

Mono

Shonen Knife

Pains of being Pure at Heart

Blk Jks

Dan Deacon

Jonathon Richman

Múm

Lou Barlow

Will think of more later

    • 1. Baby Dave - Billy 2. A - Prang   Not really got round to listening to many more in May so not really fair to vote but shoutout to EPs from Bleech 9:3 - Bleech 9:3 & Villanelle - Measly Means
    • Guitarricadelafuente was bloody brilliant tonight. This is going to be a very Spanish focussed year for me. Rusowsky dragging out Las Ketchup on Saturday has the potential to be a Prima magic moment.
    • £112 for standard entry. No thank you.
    • Meanwhile Gracie Abrams is £92 for the cheapest with the average price around £160 for lower tier and £103 standing.   First time in a while I've gone from a definite yes to a definite no on price alone.   Amble was £31 this morning.
