Should Daft Punk Headline the Pyramid Next Year

Daft Punk are one of the best live shows I have ever seen, bar none.........

As next year is the 40th Bday of Glasto I feel Daft Punk's high energy set and light show would go down a treat and be very suitable. I also believe that if they are asked to bring their pyramid stage set up it would look brilliant on the actual pyramid stage!!

What do others think? Should they headline next year and if so should ME be persuaded to book them?

Well it goes outside the normal glastonbury bookings doesnt it? I'd say its not a safe a booking as other big dance acts e.g chemical brothers or the prodigy

100% they should be booked but I'm not sure if they will be. Would they not headline the Other Stage on the Sunday? I deffo think they should be on the Pyramid but with it being the 40th anniversary I reckon it'll be the usual suspects (Radiohead, Muse, U2, etc etc)

Would love to see them there, however I find it hard to picture them on the pyramid (even though it would look really cool with their pyramid set) Other stage headline seems more likely.

The clincher would be if they are on tour. I cant see them doing a one off for the G...but of course I can seriously hope!

And hope that Orbital will headline too and apologise to Micheal for saying his festy is too commercial!

To be honest i'm not familiar with them. I wouldn't want a Pyramid headliner to be an unknown. The headliners need to have starpower. There are plenty of other slots they could play at Glasto though and i'd be happy to give them a shot.

I'd be stunned if there is anyone out there who has seen Daft Punk live and thought they were shit. When I saw them at the 02 festival a few years ago, I really wasn't a fan of them and thought they were a bit cheesy but they blew my head off and for my money are the best live act ever!!!!!

Their light show would dictate that they would have to play at night or else its pointless.........Thus, not too many slots they can play.............A Tent would be too small for them also.............believe me.....the JP Tent could not contain them

Oh and if the likes of Ash, Travis and the Stereo (f**king) phonics can headline then Daft Punk should most defo be given a shot................

I also recall Basement Jaxx headlining the Sunday night 4 years ago..............If they can do it then Daft Punk can also!

Dont be deluded by this years headliners in to thinking that the pyramid headliners have to be, or always have been true Superstars!

I dont think too many people would agree that the Arctic Monkeys, Sunk Anansie, The Verve and the Killers are "true" Superstars..........all have headlined also.................

Its about ME taking a calculated risk and IMO it would be a winner for them to pull this one out of the hat!

I'd say The Prodigy are probably slightly more popular than Daft Punk, so if they can only headline the Other then if Daft Punk played, I would expect them to headline the Other Stage.
