hehehe, as someone who started going in the early 90s I can remember the old guard getting upset that people were there to enjoy dance music. There was lots of talk of 'the end of glastonbury if they let these antisocial kids in who just want to drop E and dance all night'

Can you imagine if forums had been around when

"Glastonbury to have Dance Tent ! " was announced.

Lord the flak would have been intense !!!

Seriously - go and be a troll somewhere else.

Even though, for the most part, all you spout is extremist contradictory personally offensive nonsense, you ask for argument and debate, and soon as someone gives you exactly what you want, you just hulr abuse and excuse.

You claim you have this vast knowledge about the damaging effects of drugs and drugs culture, and yet you have to *ask* people for the links so you can go read (and it's a big assumption that you can properly read, granted..) commonly known things.

You can't even be bothered, or know how, to use a search engine.

....and that's assuming you're genuine.

Which you aren't.

As soon as things get quiet for you, you just launch another attack, or say something ludicrous.

Troll troll troll.

Are you actually f**king mad?

The government spends billions of pounds every year paying it's own scientists to research the dangers of the drugs that they have criminalised, and every time these scientists have to make a report, they emphesise how overated the potential damage of extacy and canabis are, yet the government ignore them.

The two afore mentioned drugs claim a tiny fraction of the lives alcohol claims each year. There have been no recorded fatalities from use of canabis. MDMA (extacy) is a drug which has no long term effects on the body, has never seen any of its users die from overdose, and has a smaller chance of killing its user then peanuts do... that's true, you are more likely to die choking on peanuts then you are die from taking MDMA.

Somebodies choice to take drugs doesn't directly harm anybody else or claim lives like what you've mentioned has..... It makes me f**king mad that you can even compare somebody choosing to enjoy smoking a spliff to somebody raping and murdering somebody.

This probably sounds ironic after what I've argued, But go and get your head tested mate, or furthermore, go and voluntarily admit yourself to a mental institute.

You are either completely f**king crazy or have gotten into the conformist rut of letting the law dictate your stance on moral issues.

Come on guys ... chill the fcuk out and all that  Just about everything is 'bad' for you in one way or another and esp so if/when taken to excess. As a lifelong boring olde farte, I pretty much don't ever get drunk and never take (illegal) drugs or even legal 'highs' for that matter (although I most certainly am a caffeine/nicotine addict !) but I have absolutely no problem whatsoever with anyone else who chooses to do stuff various ... just so long as they don't give me shedloads of hassle of course. And they don't in by far the vast majority of cases. I've never had any significant probs at all at Glasto. Sure I've been offered stuff, asked for stuff, spent plenty of time chatting or whatever often with peeps on a completely different planet to me but never a problem yet. Young or old, Londoner, Scot, Scouser or whatever, male, female and even not-entirely-sure-which ! ... it doesn't matter in the slightest because almost without exception, just lots of peeps enjoying themselves how they happen to prefer doing so. I wouldn't even think of wandering around the Town Centre on me own at night when at home unless I absolutely had to but wandering anywhere around Glasto at all hours of the day/night is no problem at all.

Anti-social tw@ts whether they're drunk or drugged up or even stone cold sober come in all shapes, sizes, colours, backgrounds, ages and from just about anywhere in the world. With the best part of 200K peeps on site there's bound to be some at Glasto ... but the number of tw@ts per square mile at Glasto has to be at the very least an order of magnitude less than anywhere else I've ever been despite perhaps the majority of peeps being filled with way more than their fair share of something or other a lot if not most of the time ! I can practically guarantee that I would have to experience more pi$$ed-up complete w@nkers in one evening out at home than I ever have at all the Glastos I've attended plus all those I still hope to attend added together.

From my experiences, routine and widespread alcohol abuse (in general) is way more of a 'problem' than just about any other form of illicit drug/substance use despite the Law trying to imply different. Even as a non-user, I totally support the case for making certain currently illegal drugs legal to use in appropriate places and circumstances. The key thing is somehow finding a way to permit 'use' if desired but prevent 'abuse' and all that. No one is ever going to be able to convince me that freely allowing shedloads of morons to get pi$$ed outta their heads on a regular basis is in any way better, safer, less costly/problematic in respect of Police/Medics and has less of an impact on their health and other peoples lives than someone else occasionally smoking or otherwise consuming something they technically shouldn't.

    • World Cup 2026: What is happening with ticket prices? - BBC Sport   Sounds like Infantino has been learning from his buddy if he's running around claiming its all sold out while quietly dumping tickets below face on assorted secondary websites.
    • Mac DeMarco also cancelled
    • I'm British so it very much would apply for me.   I mean, it's a moot point as I don't have tickets so will not be in town for this, but I've heard reports of lengthy queues and given I remember Lisbon Airport having a long queue at arrivals even pre-EES when I went in 2023, I seem to guess it might be quite the wait, depending on flight paths.   Certainly, the worst I've had pre-EES was a 45 minute wait for a stamp at Valencia Airport in Spain, where 4 flights to non-EU destinations in quick succession were placed one after the other. So I can't say I'm enthusiastic about what's in store. Or you know. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.
    • Out of interest keep seeing messages saying last 12 hours etc… to buy you full weekend tickets.  Whats that about? Do they take them off sale early?
