i dont see the point of it, coz u lose ur place and u ruin it for people around u. many get injured!

i saw it @ latitude last year with a young boy that thought he was cool. and he lost his trainer through it. so sum1 threw it to security on their side and the dude from FOALS picked it up and lobbed it into the crowd. and they boy was like 'thats my shoe!!!!!!' i couldnt stop laughin coz it served his DUMB ARSE right

security didnt give to hoots, and promptly chucked him out the side to make his own way to the shoe.

Just out of interest mate does it cross your mind when your doing it that your putting other peoples health at risk and making it harder for them to enjoy the band?

Personally I don't have a huge problem with crowdsurfing, but if I did it I would not be surprised if a took a swift punch to the kidney if I accidently kicked someone in the head

Health and Safety taking over the world, once again.. Every year, more restrictions being put in place, just enough so that we don't notice, and not bother... I just wonder when people are going to start opening there eyes and realise how much we are being FUKED by the government.

I've always thought crowdsurfing was par of the course if you were down the front of a gig, dependant upon who is playing - heavier bands etc. The problem is when things that have unwritten rules at metal gigs, like moshpit behaviour, get emulated at Kaiser Chief gigs

Basic rules - keep your feet up, and no fat blokes! :) I've never seen any problem with it at Glasto before, like security throwing people out, but then I don't think I've even thought about it since I was 19!

Firstly - no one has ever been chucked of site for crowd-surfing, ever. Anyone that says they have been are lying. You think a security guard working a pit is going to have time to escort someone to the perimeter fence (which may be up to half a mile away from the stage) when they crowd-surf?

Secondly, crowd-surfers tend to be just a tiny bit selfish. Why don't you just to go someone at the back of the field, kick *them* in the head and then see what happens.

Anyone who disrespects the other patrons of the festival enough to have themselves thrown randomly towards peoples necks and heads is not the sort of person who will mind much being punched by said random festival goers.

    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
    • 6music just shared a video of all of Fontaines DC singing along to the Cure last night. It'll be them. Booooo    Olivia might get up for I Love You though...
    • Proper loser behaviour wearing a tee like that. Me and my mate play a game every year called ‘Boomer Tees’ and there’s some gems every time.
