Rolf, I don't get it!

How come I'm the only person that isn't bothered about Rolf Bleedin Harris? Am I missing the point, surely he's nothing but a novelty act?

Don't get me wrong, I've nothing against him I just don't know why everyone goes so completly OTT for him.

I don't get it either but I am bothered! I really want to see him but can't quite say why. He is kind of one of those people you just have always liked! Sorry, that isn't much help but bring on the Rolf!

I saw him at the Northampton Roadmenders and he was superb!

He's such a likable bloke. I forget which year it was, could well of been his first performance in 93, but I remember him just looking out at the crowd (who he had in the palm of his hand anyway), beaming like a lunatic and saying something along the lines of "Thank you so much for making an old man very happy"...And you could tell he was genuinely moved, twas a touching moment I tells ya

I think you've got to be of a certain age, ie the generation where he WAS children's TV. Long before cartoon time he did a kind of variety show with music and drawings and allsorts. It sticks in my mind as being something from before I went to primary school (mid 30s now), and I remember the songs affectionately. It's all a bit tongue in cheek and ironic though isn't it. Isn't it? Oh please?

i totaly agree with your post.

im only 25, but i remember clearly his art shows as a kid and the kagaroo-rolf logo. i dont remeber his music to be fair...but his art and citv i do!
