Placebo are suppose to be appearing this year, but when? The suspense for tommorow is killing me, they play the Rockfest in Greece on the 28th and in Turkey on the 21st. Please that they dont play on the Sunday! With Both Blur and Prodigy playing on Sunday, surely a Friday spot on the 26th is on. A lot of travelling though!

i would be gutted, all i seem to be listening to at the moment is their old stuff, cant wait for the new album. Also listening to Doves and Ladyhawke. Looks like i might be spending a lot of time in the JP tent if they dont play! Want to catch Dead Weather too.

Tbh, there seems to be a lot of rumoured bands which don't have any free slots. Neil seems to be pretty sure on the second-headliners for all three days but that where does that leave Kaiser Chiefs and Keane? If the CSN and madness are third on sat and sun then I suppose one of them could be third but think there must be some wrong info in terms of either running orders or rumoured acts.

If Placebo play then I think second headliner on Other Stage friday is the most likely slot.

It wouldn't suprise me if they play high up on the Other Stage, I could easily see them being happy to take second or third slots. Although I'd rather they didn't play beneath Franz Ferdinand or the Bloc Party, they deserve a little better than that. Even though they're popular, I don't see them having broad enough appeal for the mainstage, which increasingly seems to be a place mainly for classic/cheese/huge indie acts, although I could be wrong.

Not on any stage listings! Boo Hoo ! I still hope that they might be announced as a special guest somewhere , fingers crossed. They are still down as a strong rumour with no alloted spot on this site.

    • I was so lucky yesterday, disappointed of course not to see Massive Attack, but gorgeous sets from Blood Orange, Caroline, Panda Bear, and Father John Misty was a real highlight. The half of Geese i saw was mint too.   I wanted to see overmono but couldnt hack it anymore.   But now, its Friday, I'm In Love
