With Springsteen headlining, does this increase the chances of these two turning up? Both are excellent bands in their own right, and both are heavily influenced by Springsteen. The Gaslight Anthem are playing in Hyde Park with Bruce on Sunday, so they will be around, anyone heard any whispers surrounding them?

The Hold Steady have played before, surely they will return sometime soon? After all, they are supporting Dave Matthews Band in the US, with the DMB also playing in Hyde Park on Sunday, maybe HS could join them on their flight. Here's hoping anyway. :P

Hold Steady have an interesting gap in their US dates btw june 21 and july 3, so it could possibly mean a Glasto appearance.

As for The Gaslight Anthem, it could only be the saturday, since they play switzerland on the friday and then support Bruce in Hyde Park.

As both are Bruce-influenced acts, it would be great to see them at some point in the afternoon on Sat...

Both at Glasto would be brilliant but The Gaslight Anthem already have gigs/festivals booked for June 24th/25th/26th which leaves just the 27th before they play Hyde Park on 28th - on that basis I guess they're unlikely.

But The Hold Steady could well happen - gutted they didn't play last year.

Id love the Hold steady, while we are at it, fingers crossed for Okkervil River, a wonderful band who needs to be discovered :)

Mate are you going to Dot to Dot? THS have finally been confirmed (NME published the info ages ago but they haven't been on any posters until this week)... the £35 for a ticket is now FULLY justified.

Almost Killed Me is the best Hold Steady album IMO. Just for Killer Parties alone.

As for Okkervil River, they have a gap in their tour for glasto and are playing End of the Road in sept so it shows they are not totally adverse to playing UK festivals.

Ive been banging on about this band for ages, about time they got some more recognition
