Keeping with the sleep theme

Good thread! I always wonder if any drug-crazed lunatics while at the festival go without sleep full-stop. Personally I like to sleep from about 6am to 9.30/10am. Glastonbury seems different to the normal world, in that your body can cope with extreme abuse and little sleep for 5 nights.

I worked at Glasto last year and alternated between morning and afternoon shifts so i managed to get my sleep in. This year i'm just doing morning shifts, so i'll be getting up at 5.30ish and going to bed at 12-1ish? I might try to be a hero and go a full night without sleep.

at latitude a couple of years ago i think i got 8 hours sleep in the 4 nights i was there. i was a wreck by the monday. i got woken up by hippies at 5.30 on the sunday morning and then stayed up the whole of sunday night and then monday.

not that hardcore i guess, but it felt like it.

Not at Glasto, but Reading last year, I didn't sleep on saturday or sunday night. Saturday because I was in a bad drug related way and hallucinating. A lot. (I have since quit drugs) and sunday night because I never do and I was stubborn. I got home on the monday and slept for 21 hours straight.

I envy those people that can go right through the festival without sleep. I need to get some in each day, otherwise I don't function. I still stay up through the nights, I just get my sleep in during the morning and fit in an afternoon siesta.

Only been once (last year), and I did Friday about 9am until about 7am Saturday, and then 10am to 6am-ish on the Sunday, and then again about 10am to half 4ish on the Monday morning (my friends MADE me go to bed, but I got up early for final stroll round the site). So over those 3 nights I got under 10 hours sleep... which isn't that impressive but I intend to repeat it, and do better this year.

At 7am at the stone circle no one believed I hadn't taken anything but a lot of cider... and I think I may have been one of the very few who genuinely hadn't. For me sleep is wasted time at Glastonbury, I know I will suffer afterwards, but there is nowhere else in the world where it is more worth it.

Met 2 girls in 94 that didn't have a tent, just large quantities of really good speed! By the time we met them on Saturday they were in a bad way, so we let them use our spare tent for the rest of the festival. The gits nicked all our beer on Sunday though and did a runner - didn't know it at the time when we bumped into them during the day - couldn't work out why they looked so freaked out by seeing us, until we got back and realised we'd been cleaned out! :)
