Right then, over the last couple of days ive seen lots of positive things said about fatboy slim, both on the glasto forum & the v one. But doesnt he just do a dj set?? with lots of his own productions in? whats good about that? Its not even like he's produced anything worthwhile recently. Dont get my wrong, im not someone who slates dj's. I prefer dance music to anything else & go out every week watching so called 'big name' dj's. I just can't understand how he could be talked about as an otherstage headliner.

Why not?

He seems to have an ability to put everyone in a stonkingly good mood by playing a really great selection of bouncy dance music. Why should it matter if he produced them himself?

I dont think anyone is talking about him headlining the other stage, but he always puts on a good show

Fatboy headlining the Other stage on 05' was absolutely incredible, the stage show was ace, the man just loves Glastonbury, he apparently even spent more on his stage set/the 3D glasses, than he got paid to do it, which I thought was nice of him! Definitely a worthy Other stage headliner without a doubt (with his own tunes, not one of them DJ sets!).

I seen him at Creamfields last year and he pretty much done a DJ set. Wasn't great either.

By DJ set he'll have meant he played other peoples records, not his own.

and he's a dj....so yes, he would of done a dj set.

Personally I think folk who make dance music also make the best djs. I'd like to see Fatboy Slim again

Groove armada are also dj's. Would you be happy if they just rolled up & did a dj set? Fine if its down in the dance village, but not on one of the main stages.

I went to Fatboy on the beach in 2008, weather was amazing for September and it was a great day out. He even played some other people's tunes, it rocked.

i saw him live last year and me and girl i was with left midway through as he just plays records and dances like your dad at a wedding.

him playing house of pain jump around was the straw that broke the camels back i could only imagine he ended his set with oops up side your head and the whole crowd sitting down rowing imaginary boats.
