(Drops big pile of wool off)

Howdy partners...

Think the wool may be my last contribution to the campfire before I head off to Bearded Theory. Karl, can I leave you in charge off the acts playing this weekend on the campfire stage? I'm sure everyone will pitch in and help. Still got a couple of slots to fill in for the Sunday evening so have a phone around and see who is interested. I've got the phone numbers for Rod, Jane but not Freddy as he's gone ex-directory & Ace of Bass's fax number should you need them.

Oh yeah, and don't forget that Chesney Hawkes likes a selection of pop tarts in his rider..

Good luck guys......

Thanks Fairyinboots , I hope all the lads and lasses at BT are not getting to wet , Its not the best weather here this morning ...

Anyway it is friday ..... lets have a few jokes

A new council tax re-evaluation policy wants to charge us more if we live in a nice area. That ought to mean discounts for those of us who live in rough areas.

There is a HUGE council house near us. The extended family is run by a grumpy old woman with a pack of fierce dogs. Her car isn't taxed or insured and doesn't even have a number plate, but the police still do nothing.

Her bad-tempered old man is notorious for racist comments. A shopkeeper blames him for ordering the murder of his son and his son's girlfriend, but nothing has been proved yet.

All their kids have broken marriages except the youngest, who everyone thought was gay.

Two grandsons are meant to be in the Army but are always out partying in nightclubs. They are out of control.

I hate living near Windsor Castle.

This 1 may cheer you up

Sheila and her husband Barry went for counselling after 20 years of marriage.

When asked what the problem was, Sheila went into a passionate, painful tirade, listing every problem they had ever had in the 20 years they had been married.

She went on and on and on: neglect, lack of intimacy, emptiness, loneliness, feeling unloved and unlovable, an entire laundry list of unmet needs she had endured over the course of their marriage.

Finally, after allowing this to go on for a sufficient length of time, the therapist got up, walked around the desk and, after asking Sheila to stand and unbutton her blouse, he embraced her, put his hands on her breasts, nuzzled her nipples till they stood erect and kissed her passionately as her husband Barry watched with a raised eyebrow.

Her face was deeply flushed and she panted softly. Sheila shut up, buttoned up her blouse, and quietly sat down in a daze. The therapist turned to Barry and said, 'This is what your wife needs at least "three times a week". Can you do this?'

Barry thought for a moment and replied, 'Well, I can drop her off here Mondays and Wednesdays, but on Fridays - I play golf.............

OK Its time for a friday poem about playing Golf

In My Hand I Hold A Ball,

White And Dimpled, Rather Small.

Oh, How Bland It Does Appear,

This Harmless Looking Little Sphere.

By Its Size I Could Not Guess,

The Awesome Strength It Does Possess.

But Since I Fell Beneath Its Spell,

I've Wandered Through The Fires Of Hell.

My Life Has Not Been Quite The Same,

Since I Chose To Play This Stupid Game.

It Rules My Mind For Hours On End,

A Fortune It Has Made Me Spend.

It 's Made Me Yell And Curse And Cry,

To Hate Myself And Want To Die.

It Promises A Thing Called Par,

If I Can Hit It Straight And Far.

To Master Such A Tiny Ball,

Should Not Be Very Hard At All.

But My Desires The Ball Refuses,

And Does Exactly As It Chooses.

It Hooks And Slices, Dribbles And Dies,

And Disappears Before My Eyes.

Often It Will Have A Whim,

To Hit A Tree Or Take A Swim.

With Miles Of Grass On Which To Land,

It Finds A Tiny Patch Of Sand.

Then Has Me Offering Up My Soul,

If Only It Would Find The Hole.

It's Made Me Whimper Like A Pup,

And Swear That I Will Give It Up.

And Take To Drink To Ease My Sorrow,

But The Ball Knows ... I'll Be Back Tomorrow.
