I love Reading and the people who have been there for years like me but... it seems like (this festival especially is) attracting alot of f**king assholes. Bring on the backlash cos i dont care. Set up camp next to the friendliest guys in the world so I am a hypocrite but the whole experience felt uneasy, forced and childish. May have just been our campsite but people who start kicking tents and looking for friends at 5 in the morning are just f**king idiots. Anybody who replys with anything to stand up with what im saying is very lucky (and I apologise for the generalisation of 'c**ts') or they are f**king 16 17 year old w*nkers who dont realise how much people love music and dont need the hassle of dodging canisters. Im expecting a mouthful from the small majority who dont give a f**k about great bands playing in front of them but you have ruined 'my' festival.

Im sure people wouldve seen similar posts months ago but i wanted to put this across. Dont get me wrong, I enjoyed alot of bands but it was out numbered by the amount of assholes giving it the ol' IM AT READING bullshit who dont give 2 f**ks about the music. I hope for every PROPER music fans sake that this problem is sorted soon. Not everybody will agree because everybody has different festival experiences but u guys are the lucky ones. Everybody else whos gonna give it the old f**kING CHILL OUT ITS READING can go f**k thereselves cos that aint Reading. Its about the music, not about you c**ts who take the focus away from it

asbos + some police intervention would sort this out. Make examples of the dim witted f**kers that think it's a good idea to make something explode when there's flammable tents all over the place. Give them a blanket ban from all fr and ln (do live nation still hold a state in r+l?) events and festivals, pretty much the same way they treat football hooligans. Don't get me wrong I used to play with fire all the time when i was younger, but we still had the sense not to endanger anyone other than ourselves.

someone in our group had a slingshot a couple of years ago, we were just using it to fire yoghurt and the like though, nothing heavy that could potentially kill someone. The security seemed to be hell bent on doing as little as possible, i went through the same gate every day as i knew the guy wasn't properly searching people.

To me Leeds seems to be getting better every year ('riot'-wise). There used to be genuine riots a few years ago but now it seems to have calmed down. There's the fires and cannisters still. Which is stupid but not really dangerous if you just stay away from them. Can't say anyone else has ever had a negative impact on the festival atmosphere for me. It's always been just what we make of it.
