It's not Daft Punk or The Prodigy, Rob Da Bank has stated this today on the official forums. Nor is it The Gossip :P

3rd Headliner might not be announced for a couple months, I reckon tickets will sell out before then

Rumours abound on the Bestival Forum that organiser Rob Da Bank has booked Morrissey to perform on Sunday night at this year's festival;

http://www.sundaybest.net/site/forum...howthread=5920

And Mr Da Bank also hinted that Sunday's headline act would be an 'An S beggining with M".

They've already announced Kraftwerk and Massive Attack as the other 2 headline acts.

Given it's unlikely Morrissey will be able to play Isle Of Wight again, after he missed 2005's performance, I think this is looking pretty likely.

Has anyone been before? What's the general atmosphere like?

Likely to sell out early? Don't know whether to buy my ticket now, or wait?

Thanks!!

What about Depeche Mode for 3rd headliner?

Their US tour end on September 5th, which leaves time to get back over to the UK.

'An S beginning with M'? Second name = Mode?

DM have said they're doing no UK festivals this year - direct from the lips of Dave Gahan.

And so from that, I don't much believe the story that was in The Sun last week that they're playing Glasto. According to Dave Gahan (from about a week before that Sun story) it just wasn't possible to fit it in around other already announced dates.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
