We watched "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" last night, we watched it with the original soundtrack and subs (dubbed was an option in the menu). Thoroughly enjoyed it, very faithful to the book apart from not as much time was spent on "Millennium" and its troubles. I'm quite looking forward to "played with fire" as I didn't finish that book. I am also looking forward to seeing what fincher did with TGWTDT at chrimbo.

I'm at little apprehensive about tinker, tailor. I love the original tv series, which was a good seven hours long, so obviously tons of stuff will get dropped.

Cast looks strong however and I understand Le Carre has given his approval. And is in it.

Saw the Devil's Double last week at the cinema, brillant and brutal movie. Dominic Cooper playing the role of Uday Hussain is alone worth the price of admission. IMO he did a stellar performance, I hope he gets nomited for a Oscar

One of the best movies I seen this year, altough I could be a bit biased because it was filmed in Malta ;)

    • If the below link works - thats interesting.   While I don't particularly put much stock in that account as a source (never seen it before though, tbf), and I can pick a hole or two (see below) in what he says - the timing of it is a week before I had the Fontaines '27 stadium info (same stadium he says on there, Tottenham). The info, or part of it, matches up.   Holes I'd pick: I'd have to watch again but I THINK he says 'end of year' for Tottenham - not possible, for a number of reasons, though he's probably just got his words mixed up there. It's Summer '27. He also says Glastonbury is/would be based on how the album does. That doesn't stack up to me, unless it was a 2028 thing. I suppose that could stack up, but still seems a bit of an odd approach. I would personally still expect it to be 2027 alongside the stadium gigs, IF they are gonna do it, though I've still not got a Scooby when the album is gonna drop, only that the tour is due for Spring (or early) next year.   Interesting, nonetheless.   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaOB3Q9qkwW/
    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
    • well, we might know by the end of next month if they drop the lineup early again
    • I'm definitely not camping 🙂.  My 17 year old Daughter and her friends are there 3 days and commuting back to Sheffield each day as didn't want to camp .  I am taking and picking up the Saturday so thought I may as well get a ticket as love Fontaines DC - need to do a lot of research on the other acts though to fill my day.    I walked through the camp site other year the day Arctic Monkeys played and it was like a War Zone.  My Son has camped a couple of times but didn't fancy my Daughter staying over.
