I really did not like There Will Be Blood on first viewing, Came back to it about 8 months later when it was out on DVD and I loved it second time round!

Watched Amadeus and The Seventh Seal this week for the first time.

He's a character actor (the greatest there's ever been as far as I can see) and so takes on difficult and challenging character roles

I agree...seemed to drag a bit and i was waiting for a big finish, it was a bit of a let down in the end. Although it was kind of cool and in a lot of ways symbolised the final part of his downward spiral into madness. It was just a bit sudden.

You have a different definition of character actor to me. To me a character actor is someone who plays similar roles over and over in films. Also a character actor - again in my head - isn't a leading man.

Watched Patriot Games on tv last night. Always enjoyed that film, but the fitty who played the English terrorist looked so familiar, yet I couldn't place her.

Then I realised it was Polly Walker. I didn't even recognise her when she had her tits out. My skills have dropped.
