I think Happy Mondays should play next year. 4th down on Main Stage or headlining one of the tents would be ideal.

Oasis would obviously be a suitable headliner but it would attract a dangerous amount of braindead dickheads and the day would probably be crammed with shitty "lad rock" such as The Courteeners et al. I'd much prefer Blur.

The fact that they headlined above SOAD who were an internationally massive band at Big Day Out, a festival which generally reflects the line-ups of UK festivals, just a few years ago speaks volumes about how likely they are to headline. Beasties are at least as big as RATM and Pearl Jam, and definetly bigger than the Pumpkins. They would headline.

Yeah, because Download are notorious at nabbing bands out from under Reading/Leeds noses. Just like they did with RATM and Metallica this year leaving Reading/Leeds with Lostprophets and Offspring... oh wait.

True. But Download doesn't have the pulling power Reading and Leeds has. If Reading and Leeds want ACDC (and they're available) they would get priority over Download.
