Probably

AC/DC

Oasis

Green Day

Linkin Park

Arctic Monkeys

Are best bet

Could also be

Kings of Leon

Prodigy

Lostprophets

Muse

The Strokes

Personally ACDC, Green Day or Lostprophets headlining would be AMAZING! Been listening to ACDC all my life, and im a big prophets and Green Day fan too!

Time will tell :P

I think Happy Mondays should play next year. 4th down on Main Stage or headlining one of the tents would be ideal.

Oasis would obviously be a suitable headliner but it would attract a dangerous amount of braindead dickheads and the day would probably be crammed with shitty "lad rock" such as The Courteeners et al. I'd much prefer Blur.

Would love to see one of (however unlikely!):

- AC/DC

- Led Zeppelin

- REM

- Flaming Lips

- Bruce Springsteen

- Neil Young

- Radiohead

- Rammstein

- Scissor Sisters

Wouldn't mind any of:

- Coheed and Cambria

- Greenday

- The Hives

- Sum 41

- Ash

- Dinosaur Junior

- Sonic Youth

- Modest Mouse

- Dream Theater

- Papa Roach

- NoFX

- Andrew WK

- Placebo

- Arcade Fire

- Weezer

- Jon Spencer Blues Explosion

- Kasabian

- Alice in Chains

- Datsuns

- Mars Volta

- Silverchair

- Wildhearts

- Waterboys

So long as I get 6 of the above then I'll be happy.

Maybe 10 years ago RATM were big enough to headline.

Maybe 10 years ago Smashing Pumpkins were big enough to headline.

Maybe 10 years ago Pearl Jam were big enough to headline.

Do you see where I'm going?

The fact that they headlined above SOAD who were an internationally massive band at Big Day Out, a festival which generally reflects the line-ups of UK festivals, just a few years ago speaks volumes about how likely they are to headline. Beasties are at least as big as RATM and Pearl Jam, and definetly bigger than the Pumpkins. They would headline.

    • yes, but it will be called a care tax...much nicer name...and they will bin inheritance tax which no one likes even though most people don't pay it....and it will be used to pay for your granny. Burnham is obviously the saviour and will win labour another landslide because he's nice northern lad and not some sir c**t from surrey.
    • Hey, I correctly predicted the entire Bizkit Main Stage day months in advance 😝
    • Its just going to be another dementia tax isn't it? The issue is this is going to be seen as a continuation of the labour government that have already raised taxes 1000% above manifesto promises.
    • One thing that Burnham has been talking about is scrapping inheritance tax and replace it with a social care levy ... which would be less progressive, but might be a good idea if was a solution for the social care crisis. Would need to sell it well to a public who would prefer not to pay more tax.
    • Maybe you should put your name forward to be Burnham's chancellor.
