Download was the same.

They also had £10 for a bin bag of plastic bottles!

Some of the people I was camped with made £120 out of that, and it ended up being cancelled half way through the weekend

i dont mind them too much. 4-5 years ago they were essential for a fire in the arena. but now they stop fires there is no point of the cups. but 10p is a bit steep. should be 2p. and its a pain in the arse when you are watching a band and theres some 15 year old cup monkeys running rings around you scrounging them up.

Everyone has their opinion on this - Personally I can't f**king stand it, why spend £150 on a weekend ticket going round collecting cups all day? Go and watch music instead or go and chill. Also carrying around a big stack of cups must also be quite annoying? If you are that skint that you can't drink, just don't bother.

When I did this at Download last year I didn't miss any bands, and ended up watching more than intended. I just wandered around in front of the mainstage picking up discarded cups while watching the bands! I really don't see what the problem is!

You are basicly doing someones job and paying yourself to do it. I go to a festival to relax and watch some music! If you wanna do it then fair enough but think I can think of much better things to do with my ''holiday''!
