It's been a bad 24 hours here on Isle of Man, two more died today, one is super stock race and then another later on in practice :(

Shite. Not to sound insensitive, but when you look down the list here it really is the most dangerous race in the world.

Yeah, unfortunately you get it wrong here and you are lucky to get away with it, saying that guy Martin had a big off at 140mph the other day and walked away, Steve mercer also came off where the guy died today and was racing the next day.

Anyone who rides this course has balls of steel!

Yeah at ballagarey, another 140mph corner, he's had two lucky escapes now at the TT and this one at the north west, you would think after that many warnings it would be time to pack it in :o

Thing about that one is, the year before that are was all trees, if they hadn't taken them out it would have been game over

As much as the IOM TT is great, you have to wonder how it continues in it's present form. Let's hope the week ends without any more souls going to the great race in the sky or wherever it is we all go.

What a cracker from Assen, all tightening for the title, Rossi wins, what more to ask for, well maybe Crutchlow for a podium but can't have it all :)

Just watched it. Cracking race. Set up nicely now!

Great to meet you last week whisty.

Fully concur, always nice to see the face behind the text, although I was a bit miffed that you're not Jagger or his elder brother & younger to boot :)

A Racer is a Racer :) I remember many years ago arguing with a pub landlord about Barry Sheene continuing to ride after really smashing his legs up. His shout "it's for the money" mine,  "he's a racer". Rossi certainly doesn't need any more euros in his wallet. Wish I could find that landlord and resurrect the argument. I do think  Rossi should walk away now while he still can tho but I think it's an in your blood thing, like Boxers.

Defo yeah, Mick Doohan did something even more crazy. They told him if he crashed he would lose his leg. Still rode.

    • Muse new album out soon , European tour announcement for Nov and Dec, no Spanish date and north American tour starts in July and in North America for all of July and August. So primavera and Glastonbury
    • Well he is on a rape charge, don't see that one as controversial.    Although Hakimi is in Morocco squad.
    • Electric Callboy just said they'll be touring here next year. I'm not sure there's a poster for it though. I'll look when I'm near some next.      He said we'll see you at Download at a gig before any of the band. Presumably he was trolling. They're in Austria at the moment and Germany tomorrow with a week's break and more shows in Germany. Whilst not impossible to come back here and then go over there again, it seems unlikely.
    • Thomas Partey, knocked back by Canadian immigration now.
    • I'm sure someone can update you on the clashfinder, and it will be pretty accurate by the time the festival comes around. It's a large flat-ish arena with main stage in the open air, no best side I'd say. Leadmill (3rd stage medium tent) is at the back of the main arena, T'Other (2nd stage big tent) 5 min walk round the corner. At full capacity walking around can take a bit more time though. I noticed that The Enemy are scheduled to not fully overlap with Wolf Alice, so you could catch part of their set too.   You can walk around anywhere with a beer, with most bars the usual mass market stuff, but one nice craft ale tent, back of the arena near the Leadmill stage. A main meal will set you back £10-15, but cheaper snacks also available. Expect a pint to be £7-8. Possibly a bit more this year as prices everywhere are increasing.   It's fairly easy to get to from the town centre using the tram, although can be busy at peak times / very busy at curfew. If you like a walk, it's approx 40 mins to Kelham Island (lots of indy venues) and probably an hour to the city, or catch an Uber. There will be loads of 'fringe' music events on around the city right through the weekend. Most are free. Have a wonderful trip, enjoy the festival, and your stay in our city!
