  1. The XX set was fantastic, I wasn't a fan but thought they were really good - felt like a 'moment'. I didn't stay to watch Radiohead though.
  2. True - that's more than likely to be honest. I was getting all nostalgic! 😂
  3. RE: Groove Armada... could they headline Silver Hayes if there is anything to the rumours around a rejig and line up?
  4. I think it may delayed for a week due to bank holidays, prior commitments etc. Unless anyone really, really wants one...
  5. Daft Punk 70 Depeche Mode 80 The Strokes 59 Led Zeppelin 69 Eminem 35 Elton John 100 Rihanna 60 Red Hot Chilli Peppers 10 Rage Against the Machine 65 (+10) Green Day 60 The Weeknd 50 Pearl Jam 94 Talking Heads 92 Kate Bush 70 Taylor Swift 111 Nick Cave 90 Dua Lipa 85 The Jam 70 Lady Gaga 65
  6. I agree with the improving their beers. I've not been to this bar, but I do think the festival are trying to up their game. The Elephant Bar - https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/whats-on/music-nightlife/glastonbury-festival-2019-bars-drinks-3016184 Next stop is the brand new and eye-catching Elephant bar, which is located near the Pyramid Stage. You can't miss it, as two giant elephants stand guard, while refreshing craft beer and DJs await those who dare to discover this bar’s secrets. Serving a range of world craft and European beers including brews from Brooklyn New York and London Fields, this is sure to be a great addition to the festival. Good thread here too:
  7. Yep, different entities. This is the sauna: https://losthorizon.org.uk/ There is a user on here affiliated to them but I can't remember their name (sorry)!
  8. I'd love Glastonbury to get Danny Elfman (or Hans Zimmer) over.
  9. There used to be 'secret resales'; as in the sale page would go live unannounced. I don't think there has been one since 2016 (apart from the coach sale after the main sale this time round). I think given a) the bottle fiasco and b) the VAT rise another resale is (sadly) unlikely now. There are a few competitions running though!
  10. You'll be fine then. Just take what you need into the queue (if you're going at a busy time - otherwise it'll be stop/start with all your stuff) and then go back for the other things a few hours later when it's settled. Just remember it's a fair walk to those car parks!
  11. I always have a 65l bag, plus a rucksack. I usually have stuff (like alcohol) in the car too (but I'm coach this time). 2019 I managed to carry everything in in one go though, so going for that again. I don't take beer/crates though, just spirits.
  12. Is it not cost more than anything else? Without the planning permission wasn't it setup costs of over £250,000 every year? For all we know, they could have looked at ways of developing the spider further now over the last couple of years. I would have loved to have seen where they took the crane, but I can't see it happening now.
  13. I don't think Fontaines are big on crowd interaction... I've seen them a few times (as you know) and it's always minimal.
  14. For what my advice is worth, use an insulated bottle - buy some ice from the co-op and dependent on your frame of mind either put your rum or soft drink in there and top up accordingly. I found even in the heat of 2019, the ice lasted well.
  15. Some of the names being linked suggest (as above) a remodel of the area.
  16. I think, although don't know if it is confirmed, it is the team behind Love Saves The Day Festival.
  17. A late night slot would go down a treat.
  18. I think with the new team behind it, and some of the rumours, it could be a very interesting poster drop! William's Green is always a favourite drop of mine though, as is Croissant Neuf. However, I think we may get the map before the next poster... who knows there may even be a new stage on it!
  19. Just don't overdo the Wednesday solo with the rum... 😜
