A friend used a wheelbarrow to transport his kids (one of the muddy years). Worked quite well!

Last year we had Thursday coach so I left my Campervan near Bath and West and then drove into CVE on a friend's CV ticket. The last vans end up in East 14 which is not too far.

I am thinking of using a garden trolley like this because it has clearance for mud and wide wheels and a flat bottom so a 1yr old can lie flat and sleep.... do you think it will work? I would make a canopy for shade/rain protection....It seems to me that if the terrain is bad I would rather be pulling than pushing...

As a new grandfather I have been tasked with constructing/modifying a suitable vehicle to transport a 1 year old (in June) around Glasto. Any tips from the 2022 "lockdown baby" contingent? What works, what doesn't work?

It's a bit like being a new parent. You get loads of good advice, ignore it and eventually learn from your mistakes! We have a rendezvous point and a general agreement to meet up there at a given time (Bimble at 7). Otherwise never have to be anywhere at any specific time - just leads to stress. Take a big battery pack - nothing more tragic than sitting in the EE tent charging your phone. Don't be a passenger. Participate. Make someone else's festival memorable! Get dressed up - buy some outfit from Oxfam on the Wednesday.

Is the system different this year? You used to have just an entry ticket with photo, general wristband (and then exit pass). What is the Campervan wristband?

If the other options don't work then you could get the free shuttle from Gate A to Bath and West and walk in from there (assuming you are not loaded with kit)

If you have the other person's passport then unless you have a dickhead driver, they will give you the second ticket. Their concerns are 1) not giving out the wrong tickets 2) having to take unclaimed tickets to the ticket office at Gate A 3) getting home asap

How does Glamping compare to renting a motorhome for the Glasto week? I suspect it is cheaper!

It was separate from the JP tent precursor because I recall walking from the Cinema field and being puzzled to see JJ Cale on in the "New Bands" tent

I use a whale pump and small 12v battery to pump water into van tanks.

I will remind him! I agree it will only be of use in dry conditions. In the past he has either used Camplight or I have setup his tent on Wed in Pennards via CVW

Made a basic trolley for my son and his girlfriend. Wheels not as big as I would have liked but it was all I had in the shed! Should be ok on the metal trackways....

Anyone know where the following on the Line up list are located? We need a more detailed map! - Village Inn - Tolpuddle - Bread and Roses - The Bug - The Pavement - The Gateway San Remo would appear to be where Beat Hotel was, but have some of the other old timers changed names (Lizzard, Toad Hall etc.)??
