  1. All the ones I have been on are direct
  2. Looks like there are a few Reading departures 6am (8.30am we are on) and 12.30....
  3. I don't remember the year, but there was a small exhibition venue in Shangri-La area that had a collection of vagina plaster casts. They were selling fridge magnets with them on. I still have mine stuck on the fridge at home!
  4. In 2002 or 2003 there was a place in Lost Vagueness that offered wet shaves (called Sweeney Todds). There was a bar hidden at the back of the salon.
  5. Wander over to an Oxfam shop and check out the best outfits!
  6. Thanks for this info. The actual CVE ticket owner will be on site, so in theory he would need to get to outside the village (not going to happen) if they wanted to be difficult. In that case I might have to do a video call with him so the ticket checker can see that he has a valid festival ticket that matches the CVE ticket and is clearly on site.
  7. That's me playing air guitar in the mud!
  8. If they are strict then I park to one side and wait for the valid ticket owner to walk up to CVE entrance (but that may take a hour or two). Just trying to see what other people's actual experience has been...
  9. How strict do you think the CVE staff will be on Thursday PM in checking that the Campervan ticket name matches the Festival ticket name? My Campervan is already down in Somerset, but we have to come on the Thursday coach from Reading. I will have a CVE ticket in someone else's name. The actual person named on the ticket will be somewhere else in CVE (or on site) but it would be a pain for them to have to come back to the CVE entrance. I was thinking of getting them to make and send me a short video showing their ticket name and the fact that they were in CVE to show the stewards that it wasn't a touted ticket.
  10. Agreed. Dump anything else at a lockup...
  11. Question.....how strict are the CVE staff on matching CV ticket names to ticket names....I have a Campervan down in Somerset near B&W but will be traveling by coach on Thursday (so can't buy my own CV ticket). A friend has a "spare" CVE ticket but will be on site on the Wednesday....do I need to arrange for him to travel in with me (or meet at entrance) which would be a hassle....
  12. Ahhh - I hadn't realised that the drop off point was at B&W (but it makes obvious sense). Thanks
  13. I believe there is a Shuttle that runs from the Festival site to the Bath and West, but does anyone know.... 1) How frequently (is it every 15mins all the time or does the frequency change at different times of the day) 2) Where does it leave from? (presumably somewhere near Gate A) 3) When does the shuttle service start? (Is it running on Thursday?) Basically I am arriving on a Coach on the Thursday afternoon and need to get myself to Bath and West showground.... Thanks
  14. Keep the cows on site and let them trample and crap wherever they like.
  15. Ban all Smartphones. Only allow Nokia/Alcatel feature phones.
  16. Yes, The Wine Bar was the only place on site doing 80's requests till 6 in the morning!
  17. We managed to get 2 in the Coach resale and just managed to get 2 for my son in the main sale. We have managed to keep an unbroken record of getting a ticket every year since 2002. Seemed easier than in previous couple of years.
  18. Who got the most inconvenient bus pick up location? In previous years one friend had to go from Reading > Norwich > Pilton
  19. Our extended group got 4 tickets, which was unexpected...
  20. Just got my yellow bus through its MOT (pesky ABS light that wouldn't go off). Will be our first time in Campervan East (usually a West person). I can see myself on autopilot at 4 in the morning going to the wrong side of the site!
