  1. Posting Mogwai once a month until it happens MOGWAI
  2. Lol also just remembered when the weather station did some super weird speech during which my friend turned to me and said "is she doing an "All Lives Matter" speech?????". When she finished it was literal silence
  3. The good - it's End of the Road. It's so relaxed, the programming is awesome, it's just the best gaff. Left Fleet Foxes to go watch black midi and it was one of the most overwhelming experiences of my life. I loved it. Meeting some efests folk I've been talking to since like 2007 for the first time! A real moment. The bad - having to pay an extra pound to get a Metroland that tasted like something Pixies. Absolutely wretched bogs. better than last year, but still poor. i didn't have one that flushed the whole weekend TT running out of lageritas The ugly - yeez. I know everyone's under pressure, but the corner cutting was pretty obvious. Some bits felt a bit jaded, tired. Line up clearly been downgraded. My third time is literally nothing has been progressed, at best, it's still the same. Feels a bit like it's getting left behind Bright Eyes. When the bad played they were brilliant, but when he was speaking....christ. I alternated between feeling very very sad or like i was enabling him by being there. Very uncomfortable
  4. As a huge Phoebe B fan, there's no way she'd be playing EOTR. Those Brixton shows were crazy (in a great way), but also she's just toured like the entire world. I doubt she'll be at any fests next year
  5. black midi followed by Battles was an absolute sonic assault and I loved every second of it
  6. On the plus side, the pegs from our tents will go in the ground
  7. So looking like burst Saturday night, drizzle sunday day
  8. Jeez lads, I just said it wasn't to my tastes was all. Glad you're all going to have a great time. I'll just have a cocktail, I'll cope
  9. For my tastes Friday is clash central, whilst Saturday is weak as peas

I saw Justice once and it was two lads pressing play on a CD of an obviously pre recorded mix
  11. The name should absolutely be changed. Don't really get the way he is still venerated in general given some of the rumours around him (mostly fuelled by stuff he said) perhaps ignored cos his son works at 6Music?
  12. And looking at the National Express website, it looks like the shuttle buses are more set up to get people to the site, rather than back and forth. I of course could be hilariously wrong, but might be worth checking it out
  13. Haven't gotten it in a couple of years but when I got a cab from Salisbury station it was £50
  14. I just find it hilarious that you've made 4 unprompted posts coating off Phoebe Bridgers. So you didn't dig it and others did, get over yourself
  15. I havent been In over a decade and this has gutted me. I was synonymous with the oggie with my crew Go well into the night
  16. tbh i've had loads of problems with coloured vinyl sounding dreadful of late, so I track to stick to black now where I can
  17. Also big up the gin and tonics and the lageritas. Absolutely lush
  18. Got back from the festival to walk into a real viper's nest at work so have barely had a second to process my thoughts. First and foremost, as I said before, being back at a festival, in the sunshine, was just so fulfilling. Any time I got even mildly irked I just reminded myself how fortunate I was to be here. All those plans and clashfinders go out the window once you're there. When finally presented with hot weather and my lethargic legs, combined with essentially no phone reception meaning I'd never see my friends again, meant we focused on seeing a few bands in full. Mooching, having a drink, having a wander, sitting down, eating. Ah it was bliss. If you compared what I planned to see with what I saw they'd be quite far apart but I much preferred the experience I had. Hot Chip. I warned ya. Didn't I warn ya Skinner? For my first day back at a festival, seeing one of my all timers play the goddamn hits, like that, finishing with Bruce. I could cry. We're back baby. We built our Saturday around The Comet is Coming. They delivered. A pulverising experience that made me feel I'd transcended space and time. Epic. Little Simz. Special. She reached out. We reached back. A real symbiosis tween artist and audience that made an event. We sacked off the headliners to go and mess about cos nothing would touch that. Variety. I met a friend on Sunday whose Saturday had been v traditional EOTR. We're seen Comet, Romare and Auntie Flo's DJ set. Ravin'. What a real delight to have some beats in the gardens. Tons of stuff that made me smile, and dance - bdrmm, WH Lung, All We Are. Sleaford Mods - wow, couldn't really have them, but I found it a mesmerising tour de force of performance art. Joe Goddard at the disco ship. Garrett Millerick making me laugh back to health on Sunday morning A rare misstep - watching Blair Witch at 1am. Not much sleep had that night. The bad - no phone reception, meant all my followers on the Gram felt left out. More pertinently created a few issues for the traders who i felt bad for. Bit of a boo boo having the bars go down on Sunday morning. Toilets. Nothing to be done, but they were awful and made the weekend slightly less pleasant. No momos 😞 But really, that's me being a dick. They put on an amazing spectacle. It was lush, it was beautiful, it made me feel alive. Thank you to everyone who got it going. And to all the attendees, people from all across the gamut of human life, bound together by a deep love of music. You brought it.
  19. One of our group refused to go in the tents all weekend, and has been the only one pinged, go figure
  20. I had the best, most fulfilling, beautiful time. Some minor gripes, but given it was a miracle they put it on, they're just that, gripes. I had the time of my life
  21. ouch, not great for him, but allays the fears I had seeing an ambulance blazing through the site
  22. Saw an ambulance barrel up to the big top whilst Girl Band were playing - nothing serious I hope?
  23. Little Simz was special. Very very special
