I'd disagree but I'm regretting bothering so let's leave it there

I can, what I'm saying is it's not good/worth it

The poster is an obviously a troll, but trivialising misogyny for jokes in a pointless online argument isn't especially cool either

I don't really frequent this part of the forum any more, but lord a mercy, no wonder every thread has a million pages if you lot get baited so easily. Wallet inspector will be along shortly too, make sure you have yours ready

nah, I went 07-11 inclusive, and the "post match" threads each year were exactly the same as this, but usually featured more robbery

Dunno if i could make it to ten as the line up is really not my jam this year. But I'm really looking forward to overmono and King Gizzard

It is perfectly possible to criticise her behaviour without resorting to misogynistic language

Probably the worst question I've ever asked, but does anyone know if the bars take Amex? On a big avios trip to get a free holiday. Didn't take it at Slam Dunk, but worked at Primavera and APE last year

Loving the ??? The organisers aren't mugs, they know it will generate buzz and it can't be disappointing But I also can't see who it would be that's obvious or outlandish. They've actually stumped us

Do we reckon they'll have phone reception this year or nah still

Primavera Sound Barcelona 2023 + Primavera Sound Madrid 2023
robith replied to Fnmentaluk's topic in overseas festivals
Agree. Saying "PJ Harvey has no hits" fundamentally underestimates what she's about -
As someone who could never get into them cos they relezse too many damn albums, that new Gizzard LP is absolute mustard

I'm happy back to 3. Four was a tad too much imo. It's still fantastic, but some of the worst parts of Barca creeping in like the price gouging. Was so many moody cab drivers outside, I spoke to a few people who got done over by them. And as I checked out today my airbnb guy said if he'd realised it was the festival earlier he'd have doubled the price, which I think was an odd thing to tell me

Primavera Sound Barcelona 2023 + Primavera Sound Madrid 2023

That Madrid site was always gonna be tough - they were basically trying to pull off D Day four days in a row, but with those number and distances your room for error is nil. Coaches stuck in traffic for ages creates loads of issues with drivers breaks and suddenly you're behind the curve. PS tend to be fairly brutal on cutting events that don't work (one of the South American ones has been completely memory holed) so I'd be stunned if there was a second. I went on the PS reddit once. Was mind meltingly banal. Every post was just an American going "how do I get my MDMA in?" "Is this enough MDMA?" Etc so I never went back -
The smell at the Porto stage. Holy hell. Glastonbury-esque pong

Primavera Sound Barcelona 2023 + Primavera Sound Madrid 2023
robith replied to Fnmentaluk's topic in overseas festivals
I was told that the Madrid one was basically because the festival organisers have been beefing with Barca City Council and the Madrid event was a "we'll take the ball home" warning shot. Looks like that's backfired. On the one hand it looks like the rain prior has screwed them over. On the other "you can come the other 2 days" is fairly telling -
Primavera Sound Barcelona 2023 + Primavera Sound Madrid 2023

I'm 39 and last year I was moaning I hadn't made it to the late slots at Porto once, my friend said "have you tried not drinking lager all day?" And it worked. Rum and coke in particular is a nice little pick me up and the caiprinhina stand at Porto got me through to 6am -
Primavera Sound Barcelona 2023 + Primavera Sound Madrid 2023

Been to Barca twice and then have been to most of the Porto editions, and really glad that last year appears to have been a blip. I do worry they're biting off more than they can chew with the expansions, but at its best it's a very special festival whose programming is unrivalled in Europe certainly. Glad to see them turn the corner on it. Now to getting very soggy at Porto -
Been when it's rained, but not every single day. It's a park and the food court and half the stages are on concrete but worried over the days it could gte churned up
