  1. Imo if the Walkmen are playing, they'd have been announced now. Personal opinion is we won't be seeing them here and think people should maybe start getting used to that!
  2. Needless to say, I had the last laugh
  3. Yeah, I don't care for them at all, but I suspect they'll draw a sizeable crowd
  4. Thank you, you've managed to write down what I was feeling. There feels like a huge gap between the top (a lot of which is super not for me) and what's beneath it. Also super confused by the "no critique allowed" crew. Sure people can go over the top and I've tried to be measured, but the idea that no one should express a negative opinion, ever, is really really bizarre
  5. Ah the old "you can't critique something if you haven't done it" reply, the greatest form of whataboutery
  6. My initial gut reaction was I expected nothing and it still disappointed. Just my opinion, not saying it's a universal truth, but that's incredibly underwhelming, to the point I'm not totally sure I can justify the money all told
  7. Pretty funny seeing everyone spin out due to one unsourced post on a forum
  8. For the avoidance of doubt as my post has been slightly misinterpreted, I didn't say that the festival was downscaling, more that the scope of the top end of the bill seems a bit diminished - but in the context of a very difficult period for live events. Looking at bookings and who is around feels like the top of the bill could be a bit more low key again. I don't necessarily see it as a problem, cos it's a lovely place with great strength in depth that I love going to. Just my two pence. But yeah, most pressingly get the toilets back to scratch!
  9. Could be coloured by my experience last year, but the fest feels on a bit of a downward slope scale wise, and certainly can't live with Green Man's financial clout and security
  10. Anyone else got a bit of fear that the line up may be a little bit underpowered? Feels like every rumour we have is "Green Man" or "not in the country". I trust the bookers to deliver on the under card, and tbh 2021 was one of my favourite years despite seeing a record low number of acts, so not hugely bothered, just a vibe I have
  11. Bit of an obnoxious reply imo
  12. While they'd be well out of place, Turnstile would absolutely slap haha
  13. sorry I wasn't commenting on probability, only my desire to see them
  14. loved that PB/SB LP so would be a delightful addition imo
  15. The things is they *are* my cup of tea, their live shows are just an absolute shambles
  16. I saw them at Brixton in 2009 around the time of MPP, and was one of my favourite gigs of all time. Have seen them 3 times since, all in hefty high up slots at festivals and they have been excruciatingly bad every time
  17. Trying really hard not to get my hopes up on the YYYs turning up here - one of my all time faves, would be unreal to have them headline here
  18. Personally don't fully understand the one man campaign against Wilco headlining? They're not my jam, but I could deffo see them doing it personally
  19. Everyone said they were great at Barca, so I put aside my past opinions and went to see them at Porto. Dishwater
  20. Play Brixton when they play London, which is usually starting to push it for EOTR's scale
  21. Every time I've seen the reformed Pavement they've been deathly dull so won't mind if they miss EOTR I absolutely adore YYYs but kinda feel like they're maaaaybe too big for EOTR's pockets? But would be over the moon happy with them, such an awesome live experience
  22. Would love Les Savy Fav and Panda Bear/Sonic Boom off there - loved the latter's album last year
  23. I really enjoyed the Holodrum album this year, would love to see them in one of the tents
