  1. That's been on there for weeks mate! 🙂
  2. No one that's been on narcs and is wandering around at 5am is usually wanting something to eat!
  3. Agree, thought they would be on a bigger stage....not sure what capacity the Acoustic holds but its not massive is it.
  4. When I was working on the Stonebridge bar last year as I was serving people I had The Park main stage on my right, ribbon tower in the middle and the BBC broadcast studio on my left, few of the presenters and crew came down to our bar for drinks on occasion.
  5. The Cider Bus was taking card payments in 2019.

    Glastocam!

You must rack up some serious miles in your car going to and from Somerset!
  7. Its good - you can sit in your campsite and watch Arcadia/Pangea. 🙂
  8. I usually camp against the fence next to that grey line going towards Paines....its 100% vehicle access only!
  9. No you can't...which is quite annoying! That bit is vehicle gate access only.
  10. It always surprises me that there is only one block of toilets in the Pyramid field, I'm sure there's a reason as to why but its always been a pain if I've had to go during an act (especially later at night) as it takes about 15 mins to get to and from the nearest ones then another 15 to find your mates again. 😄
  11. This is admittedly going back quite a bit, but we camped in South Park 2 in 2011 when we had 30 of us wanting to camp together and couldn't get in anywhere remotely central by the time we got through the gates at 11am on the Wednesday. Pros: Got everyone camped together, no through traffic (apart from those camped near you), good views of the site, didn't get really muddy unlike more central camping parts, was quieter if you wanted a good kip (especially in the daytime), was near ish to The Park (Arcadia was still in the SE Corner back then) Cons: Was a long way from the Pyramid, JPT, SE Corner, Acoustic etc, if you wanted to watch something on the Pyramid and were at camp you had to give it at least an hour, was uphill so hiking our kit to and from East Car parks was quite painful, not many toilets as was (then) in the corner of the site but I think that's improved since then, hardly any food stalls, again I think that's improved now Cinemagaddon is there, nearest ones were in The Park, quite a long trek back each night from SE Corner which sobered you up. I think now its a bit more of a central spot given the site has expanded and Arcadia is now in the middle of Park Home, did feel a little that we were on the outskirts of the festival and a bit out of the way but it was 11 years ago and things have changed since then. 🙂 Hope that helps.
  12. Would be helpful if a detailed map of the new glade area was released!
  13. Otter Ale was being served at Stonebridge in 2019.
  14. Great news, glad it has been sorted out!
  15. I worked on the Stonebridge bar in 2019 for Shelter....it was very tight behind the bar for staff and stock to be stored....a few of us did say we thought the bar should be a lot bigger not only for the amount of punters it attracts but space for people to manoeuvre who are working on it.

Your co workers must know about the hat though?!

You wear the Glastonbury hat in Asda?
  18. I think I'm the same tbh. If its easy I'll keep at it, I'm not a massive foodie and any help in getting the right thing inside me for the least amount of effort is worth it. I've said I'll give it a go for a few weeks and see what happens and perhaps if it gets the weight off in a reasonable timeframe I can look at a long term alternative like you've suggested. I'm pretty peeved at myself but I put a bit on then the COVID lockdown it piled on and I'm hoping this can help get me going again to get back down to an acceptable weight.
  19. I think its a risk leaving the tickets at the Box Office for 2+ days not collected that should have been on a coach to start with. I mean I get the baby situation etc, but if they don't want to leave him/her then maybe perhaps consider not going at all if its such a big issue? I think their options are as follows: 1. Go on the Wednesday on the coach, have a great time, check in on the baby as much as possible. 2. Deliberately miss the coach on the Wednesday and turn up by car/train on the Friday and hope the tickets are still there. 3. Go on the Wednesday on the coach, get given the tickets then when you get to the site, get a shuttle bus back to Castle Cary and get the train back home...but looking at the train line website, that will take nearly 5 hours so will wipe out most of Wednesday.
  20. What coach departure point are they coming from?
  21. Get on the coach and then go home afterwards, then come back on the Friday.
  22. Sorry if I'm misunderstanding here...you're wife is on shakes but you don't recommend them? So protein oats in the morning, then have Huel or have something different for lunch?
  23. That's a good shout, I'm only really at home or work during the week so that part should be ok. I may even do 6+1 and see how that goes to start with. TBH I don't go getting pissed loads anymore either, usually only once or twice a month now but with festival season just round the corner if I'm at Glastonbury for 5 days and suddenly start eating loads of solid food, drinking (and other stuff) when I've only been drinking Huel for the main part I'm worried my guts will not like it, and a dodgy tummy/arse at a festival is not high on my wish list!
  24. I think I can be quite disciplined, I did the gym 5 days a week for a few years (changed job and lost the routine as it was next to my office). I'm starting tomorrow so I might post in here how I get on with it if people are interested....I will definatly replace lunch and dinner, I get a free lunch at work although I do only have the soup and bread and I like socialising with everyone at lunch so I'm wondering whether to keep that in my diet. Also not sure what I will do at weekends when I'm going to football and gigs, am I allowed 7 pints and a portion of cheesy chips at the end of the night if I've only had Huel during the day?! I watched some YouTube videos of people who used it and said they didn't feel hungry at all once they had started on it.

Can they take Glastonbury-on-Sea away with Pangea?
