The Glade was there in 2014 as I watched Nihal from Radio 1 do a DJ set there late on the Saturday night before heading to the SE Corner.

That’s pretty embarrassing all round…turn up late, get shite shifts then have to be separated for arguing?! That must have been one hell of a row! what was it about?!

Officially its part of Park Home, but has become cut off due to the expansion of Arcadia in recent years and doesn't have a separate name...which adds slight confusion when you try to explain to people where you usually camp!

Personally I think its a load of rubbish that's not really needed.

I camp in Park Home the bit sandwiched inbetween Arcadia and The Park....its been getting steadily worse the last couple of years and I think this year might see the year we finally fail to get in there as we are coming by coach.

no you're right...and I've just seen it wasn't on the 2019 map either!

One of my mates worked in there in 2017 so we went to it a few times that year.....did get very busy at times and also very hot - perhaps they've made it an open air stage?

hmm. My memory that far back is a bit hazy....it did rain at some point either thurs night or like you say fri morning and again on the Sunday night (thankfully for me after I had left!) My first five Glastonbury's all had rain to varying degrees, took until my 6th visit in 2010 to have a bone dry one!

Usually about this time of the year either The Sun or the Daily Star will have a front page saying something like 'UK set for a sizzling summer' with a pic of people on a beach and a thermometer showing 30 degrees shortly before a soggy summer with about two weeks of good weather materialises!

Fairly sure it rained that year on the Thursday at somepoint......its the one and only year that I left on the Sunday night after the headliners and I know when I got home at 4am one of my friends still on site text just as I was going to bed saying words to the effect of 'wish I had gone with you now, as its hammering it down!'
