  1. Found a rogue carabiner whilst spring cleaning - had a ridiculously overexcited minute or so pulling out the backpack with festival odds & sods in. Still not really sunk in that in 82 days I'll be at Glastonbury 😮
  2. Wow I can run a 5k in 45min, you're double my speed😅 Well done on PB 🏆🥇 I did however run my 1st 10k week before last, my pacing consistent with my 5ks, only started running in May 2020 so very pleased with self. In terms of fitness for Glasto, I feel in better shape than I have for years but also know that after 3 days on the farm I'll be aching everywhere! Going to bang on about the wonders of yoga again, but hoping to do at least 10mins every morning at the festival just to loosen the old limbs 😁
  3. <phew> so pleased it's not all my fault 😉 but also feel a fool thinking spring was here 😅
  4. I can only apologise for any potential poor weather - I got a resale ticket and bought some summer Birkenstocks.... upon delivery of said summer footwear the temp dropped by 15° I am truly sorry to all festival attendees for I am the harbinger of inclement weather.
  5. Partner came onboard at the 11th hour - my Jedi mind force was strong 😉

Ah prob yes but I saw @Brave Sir Robin post it to me just 5mins after booking and paying for a campsite😉 These were unexpected tickets so an unconventional Glastonbury for us this year. We got the golden tickets so everything else is just semantics 😁

Gonna need a tent 😅 New plan; campsite with electric hook up booked about 10mikes out, convoy with my car, car park ticket bought, will take a small tent (pitched way out of any prime location) to maybe sleep 1/2 nights but mainly will "commute" Know this plan may seem utterly crackers but we have many mitigating factors and need the van close by.
  8. Thank you! Just made another plan though (and paid!) Got full electric hook up in a campsite about 10 miles out, will bring my car too and a tent and do a mix of in a tent and off site in the campervan... Knows that all sounds mental but it's what we're doing 😅

Campervan gone within 2mins ☹☹ After the buzz of tickets w hours ago now in total limbo with no CV pass... Can really warrant buying all camping equipment... Looking at a campsite in the 20 miles surrounding areas and driving in each day... blah
  10. Yes amazing but no campervan pass ☹ Now totally deflated and trying other options. Current plan is a campsite within 20 miles and convoy with the car... can't really but all camping gear! When we have a campervan seems daft. Arghhh fell at the last hurdle
  11. Me, me, me 😁😁😁 I'm going to Glastonbury!
  12. This thread is giving me all the feels 😍 Never been so pleased that so many people i don't know got a ticket to a festival that I'm (currently) not attending 😁 so happy for you all! I'm going to try Sunday but partner not keen (one too many real life things all up in their grill) but if I get tickets and pay they'll come around right, right?! **(Insert Skywalker/Padme gif here) I'm doing it anyway 😉
  13. So pleased it arrived in such good time! You will be at the Farm this June, I have everything crossed for you🤞
  14. Thanks CF 😁 Sunny Confetti looks awesome next to the Artful Carroll 😍
  15. Absolutely shameless self plug but it's my birthday & the world is a bit shit & I came to the stark realisation last week that I won't be attending the hallowed grounds this year - so here's the plug: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/ArtbyNaughtyGeorgie currently has a 40% off for 48 hours store wide sale, original acrylic paintings, inc quite a few Glastonbury inspired ones.
  16. We scored resales for friends in '17 so plumped with previous luck I know it can be done but twice in one morning, with the CV ticket needed too... that's a massive ask 😮
  17. Had resigned self to no resales this year.... now the age old question to try and then try for CV ticket or not try and be forever riddled with what might've been? (Going without the campervan is not an option) Obvs I'm trying! It's the hope that gets you😆
  18. Thursday now sold out & limited spaces in a few fields! Hard agree with another excellent lineup from CC, it really is a fantastic little festival!
  19. Ah ok, thank you, think it might be one to miss then. Ever hopeful that a Bestival Phoenix rises from the ashes!
  20. I'm popping in here to offer a couple of coping techniques that I've recently discovered, they seem to work for me (sometimes!) and if they can help others that's grand. So I had a pretty rough time mid Dec, way too personal to share on an open forum, and things are starting to heal. I started running during early stages of pandemic, did C25K, and have carried it on, I don't go far 8k at the most trying to hit 10k I'll get there one day and I'm far from fast but the being outside with music blasting helps push all anxieties, stresses & strains to the back of the mind for while. Also yoga - I was very much a yoga pahahaha mindset for many years but bloody hell it works. I stick on a YouTube video, personal choice is Adriene, she has hundreds for various levels/times/specific gains etc the centering & balancing of the breathing has helped me a lot. I know people don't have masses of spare time but even a 10min yoga session a few times a week can help. Talking, and if you can't talk about stuff write it down. Write on an open forum like this, write a msg to a friend, write an email to yourself then delete if you can't bare to reread it. We all have very different paths with very different difficulties, send well wishes to you all❤
  21. Thanks for the info - by insane number of kids are we talking on a par with Latitude or more? I don't have too much of an issue with sproglettes running around but I don't want to feel like a childless pair encroaching on family times. Like will we be out of place type thing. All that said I already bought tickets for Camper Calling and there are a fair few crossover acts so if CB really isn't for us then I haven't missed out too much... apart from Fatboy & Example, both awesome live and almost worth being the only adults in fields full of kids!
  22. Camp Bestivalers quick question; Is CB suitable for people without kids in tow? Used to go to Bestival (RIP beautiful Bestival!) quite fancied CB but it's a bit of a trek from the Midlands so this new Shropshire one looks ideally placed. Obvs it is very family oriented, none of the old Bestival hedonism! Which tbf is prob more my pace nowadays anyway 😉
  23. Very late to The Mandalorian party but watched the lot in 2 days - I'd avoided it because the Star Wars prequel/sequels were so disappointing, as soon as I realised Jon Faverau was the creator I gave it a go, hooked immediately! The last scenes of season 2!!!! No spoilers from me but yes, it had to be! Watched all of season 3 After Life yesterday eve - going through some personal shit right now so it absolutely floored me, sobbing for hours.
  24. I get it, we're all disgusted that this shower of shite have yet again proved that they are a disgrace but people seem more angry that they 'had another party' than they are with the fact that they have pretty much embezzled millions of pounds from the public purse. Yes, I understand that they have broken the law & this may be the only way we can get rid of them (see; Al Capone tax evasion!) But fuck me I'm livid that they were all making money hand over fist whilst our NHS & Care givers were wearing bin liners in place if PPE because these bunch of self serving c**ts were all setting up companies to be given gov contracts to supply said PPE.
