  1. Just bit the bullet and booked Willow Meadows campervan spot. Know it's stupid money but it's walkable to site, my van has a home for 5 nights and I don't have to contemplate even thinking about buying a tent! If I knew GFL were def doing another CV pass sale I'd have held off but they did say in email that they weren't so buggar it. Plus Willow Meadows is ยฃ160 cheaper than Love Fields but not as well located. Actually feel like I can make plans now, bring on the next announcements.
  2. Don't feel too bad for me, caught them again at Latitude '19 where I got to see the whole set plus we had fun wandering around, caught the whole of the Arcadia Metamorphosis show & making lots of 5mins festival friends๐Ÿ˜ ended up in freezing cold Park around 3/4ish
  3. Yes my middle aged partner is very much like a 9yr old, in so many ways! This is why I don't play well with others, they ruin my system๐Ÿ˜‰ Wow, the whole story mode! I thought I'd played a lot this week but I clearly need to up my game! Still got the whole of the last trilogy to start yet. I keep get sidetracked by shiny bricks and wandering off to side quests in-between cut scenes. On a side note: I replayed Lego Harry Potter double pack during enforced time off due to pandemic, on the Switch after only playing on PS4 previously. I 100% completed 1-4 but only 99.9% on 5-7 there's a collectable behind a statue where you're chased by Dementors and if you're caught it takes you away from the area. So annoying because that's the 1st game I've ever fully completed and wanted to do the same on both. Can see it but can't get it, tried with multiple characters etc
  4. We have a 3 track rule, if one of us isn't enjoying after 3 tracks we move on. This did however backfire on me at Underworld '16 when I was forced to leave mid set! Partner also has a habit of needing the bathroom almost as soon as my must see act starts their set, I preempt this at Chems at Latitude last year by forcing them to use the facilities just before heading to the Obelisk! We are basically glued to one another, stuff just isn't much fun without them there, I'd rather miss an act and go have fun with them.
  5. Ours was fitted by a specialist, solar panels on roof hooked up to 2 leisure batteries and came with a gauge, actually 2 gauges as we had the solar panels added at a later point to the 1st leisure battery. So we've got a gauge with red, 2 Amber and a green light that's next to one of the plug sockets and a larger, think it's called a zig gauge, which is in the cupboard with same light system but additional green flashing light that indicates the batteries are being charged it flashes in daylight but also when the engine is running or plugged into electric hook up. Not sure if that's helpful?
  6. <stamps foot & salutes> Major Milestone reporting for duty, Sir!
  7. Totally get the panic! I worry about literally everything. So much so I took a couple of ziplock airport toiletry bags, sturdy ones, and kept ticket & pass out in, waterproof & sometimes they were able to scan/look at ticket through the bag, and had a ticket only pocket for it in my festival belt so it couldn't be taken out by accident & lost! Haven't been since '17 and stayed in West CV where there was a dedicated gate but it was a case of queue for wristband to get onside, as usual and then they check ticket upon leaving site and give you you pass out, both are needed to return to site.
  8. That was kind of my feeling but my compulsive need to have everything organised is taking a battering right now, so many 'almost there' type options! Like the main thing, the golden ticket, is in the bag, I'll be at the Farm. And I still have the long way away campsite for CV, tent on site & commute option if all else fails. The GFL email did seem quite sure about no returns & resales though.
  9. Been on Love Fields waiting list since getting resale tickets and subsequently not getting a CV pass. Love Fields is my preferred choice, GFL has replied to my email stating the don't anticipate any further CV pass sales. But then you posted this and Willow Meadows still have CV spaces! So absolutely torn on what to do, I've emailed Love but it's a bank hol weekend so not expecting a reply for a few days and what if Willow sells out in that time! I'm pretty loyal so I'm going to wait on a reply from Love Fields. It's in the hands of fate.
  10. I'm too much of a control freak to play co-op ๐Ÿ˜‰ partner picked up 2nd controller years ago during Lego gaming and proceeded to run off before the room was cleared - like woah Dude! what you doing? there's still bricks to be smash & grabbed and puzzles to be finished, running off all giddy kipper like we're playing this for fun๐Ÿ˜† - I have certain rules; to quote Monica Geller "rules are good, they control the fun" ๐Ÿ˜† 1st aim to always get the red brick or in this game Data Card to get the x2 multiplier, got to have has much spending power as possible! Plus a True Jedi in story mode with no additional skills/multipliers is a much bigger win than freeplay.
  11. Having a full on Star Wars fest - finally got round to watching Force Awakens, Last Jedi & Rise Of Skywalker, via LED projector (2nd hand & ridiculously good quality image and sound!) & a ยฃ40 per annum Disney+ deal. Wanted to have watched before I started those levels on the game, had avoided watching after years of disappointment from Phantom Menace et al - JarJar Binks is as irritating in the game as he ever was on screen, and a seemingly useless character! Hadn't realised until I'd started playing that you can choose which of the 3 film groups to start from, I did New Hope and went with release order.
  12. Slipped in mud one too many times & was more concerned with how the fuck I was going to get back down the hill maybe impacted the whole experience๐Ÿ˜†

    Vegan Traders

Had a vegan hotdog at Latitude and it was by far the nicest dog I've ever eaten, no idea of trader name but the literally only sell vegan dogs - queued for an hour in blazing sunshine hungover tf and it was so worth it!
  15. Yes! So much pressure, the idea of proposals in front of loads of people weirds me out.
  16. The view from the Glastonbury sign at the top of Park has had a lot of the awe sapped out of it by too my photos circulated online. *or I just looked at waaay too many photos before I headed up there! The curse of too much freely available info
  17. We were next to the giant Badgers so outside on the edge of tent, sound was terrible so we wandered off to meet peeps that wanted to see Kaiser's - the sound clashes were preferable to listening to Kaiser's, wish we'd stayed in Avalon ๐Ÿ˜‰ I'm slightly too old to be a fan of either Busted or McFly but weirdly still want to see them๐Ÿ˜†
  18. Another +1 for Oh My God It's The Church! Accidentally saw them at Bestival '16, ridiculous fun. We all know that Busted caused havoc in Avalon can McFly do the same? ๐Ÿ˜…
  19. People who have hated Glastonbury = Heretics ๐Ÿ˜‰ My partner doesn't hate it but they do prefer a smaller festival, I had a bit of a job persuading them to try for resales this year - I think the threatening to apply for one of the paid chef roles (which I almost certainly would have been offered as I'm a freelance chef and there's a massive shortage of chefs) and being away from home for at least 6 weeks did the trick! And we were successful ๐Ÿ˜ Don't judge too harshly but on the Sat headliner time in '16 we were chilling in the campervan & partner put the BBC live stream of Adele on.... I had a paddy, the kind I'm sure you can all agree was warranted in such a situation, wellies were donned & we trudged through mud from CV West, grabbed some Anna Maes & caught the rest of Adele knee-deep in mud munching steaming mac & cheese. Partner isn't a prissy princess or a stuck up vlogger type they just can't be arsed with the walking & whilst they appreciate Glasto, the magic hasn't quite taken their soul.
  20. Have the week off so catching up with Book Of Boba Fett (nearly finished season 1) interspersed with playing Lego Skywalker Saga (on the Switch) which is; a) awesome gameplay - I've always loved the Lego franchise but this game is something else! b) watching & playing in conjunction is ridiculous fun, kind of feel like you're there or have been there!
  21. Weird ass Glasto dream last night; The market area was indoors?, partner was passing me scrambled egg by hand (no spoon/bowl etc) so i was walking around with handfuls of scrambled egg - yeah no idea!! This bit I can explain: had a tent but no furnishings (this year we will be in a tent part-time unless the very expensive but extremely well located offsite glamp manages to squeeze my campervan in ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž) so tent but no furnishings; so partner comes back from the indoor? market with 2 very heavy garden deck chairs, you know the kind with the big cushions on. And proceeds to carry them around Glasto, whilst I have handfuls of scrambled egg? All this whilst friends of friends are shacked up quite comfortably in my feckin campervan. So yeah bring on another couple of months of of that kind of brain melt๐Ÿ˜‰
