  1. If anyone would like to save the downloads to extend the 30 day limit, I'm using this -
  2. Maybe I'm a little excited, but she was really great and pulled a big crowd for an early afternoon slot. She's def getting a bump if she returns.
  3. I just wanna know what bedtime/morning routine Brandon has. The man never ages.
  4. Good post and I agree in general - although there's been some small crowds on the Pyramid over the years, e.g. Kendrick, Radiohead, but those last two names (Timberlake/Aguilera) would surely be better as a Legend or fun sub, than anything else.
  5. Yep, is true. It makes me chuckle a bit that people think Lil Simz is in contention, yet rule out Foals completely. Foals have a big fanbase already, plenty of commercial hits that people know, and know and love the festival. The only thing holding them back, in my opinion, is that in the criteria of Pyramid headliners and the thirst for genre diversity, there are bigger "guitar" bands ahead of them.
  6. Glad you had a good time mate. Agree on pretty much everything you've said.
  7. CMAT was absolutely excellent. She looked like she loved it as much as the crowd did. She must have done enough to get bumped up for next year. Park, Friday night headliner. You heard it here first!
  8. Easily DJ Yoda in Stonebridge on Friday, followed by Dimension on Friday night. Two totally different genres, but both absolutely epic.
  9. Seems a lot of inflatable dinosaur costumes to carry in. Certainly wouldn't want to be stuck in one of them too long. What was the pink meet up as well? I was wearing a pink t-shirt when it was on and felt the gravitational pull to walk up the field to my own kind, but then the heat was too much and I went searching for shade instead.
  10. Great pics, mate! But what the heck is happening with the dinosaurs? What's that all about?
  11. Really can't ever seeing Lil Simz rising up either, not unless she releases some more commercial hits, tracks more in-line with Venom, but even then she'd need at least two more albums to get up there.
  12. Fair play. The Pyramid trio isn't ever going to please everyone, and tbh, that's the way it should be. If you spend each night at the Pyramid for the headliners, you miss out on some really great alternative headliner slots. It was a bit out of character that I was there two out of the three nights this year, but never had any interest in seeing Arctics. Hot Chip were absolutely blindin'.
  13. You must like some rap from 70s/80s/90s tho, Grandmaster Flash? Run DMC? Slick Rick? I love hip-hop but I'm not a really big fan of Central Cee either.
  14. I doubt the Independent did any research before they went off on what GnR's music "stands for". It's not really their forte.

    Rammstein

Oh, well, as much as I was joking about Rammstein on the Truth (no way would such a MASSIVE band play on such a tiny stage), this seems to rule them out of any future bookings then.
  16. I prefer the idea in my head that he just has one of the coolest stashes of guitars in the world and wants to show them off at all costs, haha 😆
  17. I mean, journalism used to be about leaving your bias at the door and reporting as accurately as possible. But like others have said, the Independent just seemed to want to give a bad review no matter what. With this one sentence, it proves they cared more about the identity of GnR than the actual performance or the music. Heck, there's plenty of rappers with sexist, misogynistic language in their songs who have performed at Glasto, but somehow it's GnR who are the macho dinosaurs playing actual instruments as opposed to just singing to a backing track, blah blah. I don't know if they're actually trying to spark a debate with their review, rather just label them as troublesome to society or some nonsense. I mean seriously, Glasto is a festival of indulgence. From the brioche dough wraps, to the amount of coke-heads, to the day drinkers. Rockists at Glasto - also quite a few including a number on here. Dated? Elton pre-dates GnR. Nah, the Independent aren't trying to spark a debate, they're just being massive snobs.

    Rammstein

Really liked that actually. Coming to the Truth Stage Thursday night in Shangri La, 2024.
  19. I didn't turn up until after they'd started so missed that, but I think the biggest problem is I'd come in in the middle of their set cold and I never really warmed to it and they never really seemed to get going.
  20. Even worse were places like the Independent reviewing GnR on everything BUT the music.
  21. Yeah, it was really odd. They had zero interest in being there aside from joking around together. Maybe they didn't like anything else on, but I doubt they were there for some kind of collective feeling while they were just hitting balloons and not moving for the music or anything.
  22. I'm starting to think with the line-up as it was and Foos as the secret set, maybe Pulp and the festival decided to do it next year instead so there's not too much guitar/indie/rock music this year. Surely, SURELY, Pulp will be there next year.
  23. Bobby Friction was epic going into Skindred. Turned up early to get a decent Skindred spot but was so happy to watch the BF (and All Stars) wow the crowd with some really cool covers and dancing, all in Banghra style. Wanted to check them out again on Glade but got the times mixed up and mistook it for 6pm on the Friday, when they were actually on at 9pm and I was already on my way to Hot Chip. One of the best Thursdays ever at the Farm.
  24. Yeah, turned up and didn't feel it at all. By the time I'd stuck about for an hour to see if it got better and then gave up and walked to Other, Pet Shop Boys were just finishing.
