  1. Well maybe she isn't even as big. A quick google shows me that Lana's had six number one albums in the UK compared to O-Rod's one. Lana's been on the circuit for far longer, had way more tours across more continents. They have near identical monthly listens on Spotters tho...
  2. Sounds like an absolute bin FIRE. 👀
  3. Except, a headline trio out of Dave, Fender, Pink, O-Rod would be pretty poor any way you look at it. Just as it would have been if it had been Lizzo, RB, Lorde, Noel etc.
  4. I dunno. O-Rod/Dave are only being touted as a headliner because they're fresh faces and appease the "relevancy" contingent, but they're actually not that big. O-Rod is about as big as Lana and she only headlined the Other which is equivalent to subbing the Pyramid. Dave is easily smaller than Lil Nas X/Lizzo. RB is on par or thereabouts with Dave. 2022 with Sam Fender, Noel/Oasis Karaoke, and Lorde have all been touted as potential headliners in the past (or in the case of Oasis, have been)... Katie Perry played third down one year. Shakira too. Don't know why Pink/O-Rod/Dave suddenly get an e-Fests bump.
  5. Feel like Pink has a very strong/committed fan base, how well she'd translate to headlining Glasto, I don't know. A strong sub maybe, but can't see her having wide enough appeal. Pink > Coldplay O-Rod > Dua Lipa Dave > Rhianna
  6. Confirmed reg details last night. Ready for an assault in Oct and the following 5 months of torturing myself about whether to go or not.
  7. The biggest upside of this, is that it makes you look sexy as hell.
  8. I'm adamant about re-registering and trying for tickets in October this year. IF I manage to get tickets, then that would at least give me another few months to consider where to go from there.
  9. Yeah, I don't really get it either. 10/1 here seems to be the new "Not a cat in hell's chance" of playing. From their odds, there's gonna be like seven headliners.
  10. I'm happy you clarified what you meant by whack, because it's one of those words I never know if it means something positive or not 😆
  11. Sky Bet's top 3 wouldn't be so bad, would it? Festival heritage band, female superstar, up and coming British star?
  12. People speak about the Glastonbury ethos, but if it's about unity, support, teamwork, having fun, reducing social anxiety, leading healthier lives - these are all aspects that crossover to sports/football. And anyone complaining about tribalism - just have a re-read of the 2023 headliners thread 😆 Swifties vs Gunners vs Coldplayers vs Dua Lovers vs Foalers.
  13. West Holts has always been my preferred place to hangout if I've got no one in particular to see. It's generally had the music I like the most, so it's a safer bet I'll catch something there to vibe with. Having said that, this year I barely saw anyone there. Maybe three acts during the day and no headliners for the first time in six fests. For context, in previous years, 12/15 headliners had been on WH. But when it comes to headliners, I couldn't care less where people are playing or on what stage. It's just all about who I wanna see the most at that time. This year, Hot Chip on Woodsies, GnR & Elton on Pyramid, all three were absolutely mint. They could have been on the Park, Other, and the Rabbit Hole, and I'd of still been there.
  14. Hey all, is there gonna be an FPL league set up this season? There was one last year, would be fun to join it again.
  15. "It's a Thriller in Tucquilla!" Haha. Great line, bet he'd been saving that up all night. Well played, Ballard. Everyone loves a 93rd minute winner.
  16. I can only imagine the octave level gets turned to 11 when her, Lizzo, and all the dancers are having a great day in the studio.
  17. I'm sure she's not a twat all the time though and I'm sure if she was still out in quasi-public going through gates backstage, she might not let rip, plus also might just find it funny as she's meant to be the known "talent" etc. What she's like behind doors could be an entirely different kettle of fish, and even then, I'm sure she's not an arsehole all the time.
  18. It's in Japan so actually looks likely to be a giant Freddie Kaiju on stage instead.
  19. I've had a bit of a sabbatical from eFests, but this thread is one of my favourites. Lots of conjecture, but a great way to find out new bands and/or imagine where they'll be playing so you can fantasise in your mind about your own personal fest.
  20. His stylist would've just lacquered on another layer of this mid-set a la Lana.
  21. I have downloaded all the sets from BBC iPlayer to keep my memories alive during the autumn and winter as I contemplate if I'll even give '24 a go.
  22. Military propaganda? Imperialism? I think it's a disservice to make such wild (and lazy) statements of a military that, if removed, would signal the end of Britain as you know it. It's not exacly the rebirth of the Empire, is it? I'll wait for your next comment lathered in buzzwords of jingoism, nationalism, far-right, blah blah blah.
  23. I was walking back from my tent, passing the Co-op to go take a shower. Feel like a lot of people around me didn't even realise/look up.
