Yep it is one of the ones that has remained on my playlist the longest. Really good album. She's playing Manchester this week as well and I wish I wasn't so busy or I would have gone. I hope she is back again in the new year.

She's a very left wing folk singer. Her song Ivy about her niece being born is at least as much about Glastonbury as it is about her niece.

Cool just noticed Grace Petrie has an album out as well and it has a chance of making the charts which would mean a lot to her. She's got Glastonbury in her heart so if everyone could at least stream it I'm sure it would help a lot.

My September reads. My favourites were The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, Notes on a Scandal and Priestdaddy. I am currently reading my 99th book of the year and for the 100th I am going to attempt War and Peace!

I'll be honest it I bought it pre-pandemic when it was meant to be a just him and his piano performance but he obviously had time to do a whole new album which I am not a huge fan of. Let's just say as fantastic a performer as John is I'm still not convinced by the new album. Great to see hear the older stuff though.

Little Simz just keeps getting better and better. 4th album could well be her career defining one. Hounds of Love album number 5 by Kate Bush cited by many as their favourite.

Oh yes I know it just irritates the hell out of me how many people who are lucky enough to have a ticket spend their time in facebook groups moaning about everything from the headliners to the fact that they can't get a ticket for 2022 at a 2020 price when I would give anything to be in their position (and even when I normally have a ticket I don't moan about these things!!)

Yes is a nice little venue. I was at John Grant at the Royal Northern College of Music otherwise I might have been at Tim Burgess.

Yep everyone moaning on Facebook just put those tickets back in the pot so proper Glastonbury fans (ie us!) can go instead.

And if she doesn't trust them now the real police force are bus drivers who of course are beyond reproach themselves and get paid enough to be the super police 🙄

The Specials - Protest Songs is on my list for the day so far but I still need to decide my 2nd and 3rd for albums of the month for September!

Thanks hopefully getting there but my poorly dog is definitely doing her best to cause us maximum stress. After a difficult couple of weeks we have found her another specialist who may be able to help. Unfortunately out of insurance until the new year so the £1000 bill for the initial consultation and scan is a hit we were hoping we wouldn't have to take (as well as the cost of getting up there, accommodation etc) Just as well she's cute right! It was her 7th birthday yesterday so we did a big celebration for her.
