  1. My understanding is that you'll be at the mercy of your individual coach but be aware of how many people are on there and how much luggage everyone will have. If you know anyone else going by car who has spare space it might be easier to see if they can bring alcohol for you and arrange to do a car run at some point with them.
  2. If only you could make it happen! Speaking of good Acoustic Stage acts Katherine Priddy is playing Band On The Wall in May. Tickets less than £20 as well!
  3. This year I would say for me Avalon walks it. Acoustic Stage is probably the stage I’d most like to have a go at organising.

    Avalon 2024

Yes some slightly different acts for me but yep nothing unmissable but plenty to keep me occupied.
  5. Every artist is a thief is I believe the phrase.
  6. Sometimes someone who is playing the acoustic stage will get to sing a song in the BBC studio but nothing from the stage itself.
  7. Yes gig prices have gone insane in the last year. Pretty much all arena level shows seem to be starting at least around £65 when it used to be around £40. Some are starting at nearly £100. It’s certainly going up even higher than inflation. I’ve set myself a £35 limit unless it’s something really special and there are lots of venues I no longer even check out.
  8. Showhawk Duo confirmed at least 3 sets including their usual Thursday night bandstand set at their Manchester gig tonight.
  9. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0hq17hq It was nearer the end than the beginning so I'd probably wind on to about 20 minutes in.
  10. Not an interview it's on her podcast with Grimmy.
  11. A chunk of them will be at The National as well.

    2024 New Music

Lots of interesting releases today and a fair few with a Glastonbury interest Lynks, English Teacher, Nia Archives.
  13. Off to see them in Gorilla Manchester on Saturday night. They are currently touring so check your local listings. In fact let me be true to my name. Here's their dates
  14. TBF he delivered the most scathing anti-Tory speech I saw all weekend so he's alright with me!
  15. Great news! 2 slots hopefully means a main stage set as well.

    2024 New Music

Vampire Weekend is lovely if you like Vampire Weekend. Could do with some sunny days for it to hit right. I'm enjoying Bob Vylan as well again nothing massively different from them but a decent album nonetheless. @Avalon_FieldsHave you listened to Katherine Priddy's new one seem to recall you were a fan - been out about a month now so not exactly brand new.

    Lulu

Won't click the link but would be up for it. To Sir With Love is a great tune.
  18. Knew I'd seen it somewhere. Roll on Avalon poster up first.
  19. Yes just being cheeky to see if we can get the other names we don' know 😄 You know what they say if you don't ask you don't get.
  20. I think I'd try and do all my favourite things that I already know I love and I might try and do things that I have always promised I would do but have still never gotten around to like making something in the craft fields so I have a handmade memory to take with me. If you want to maybe try and find some of the participation things to do like that big slide by the Greenpeace stage, some of the things they do in the Theatre and Circus fields like the zorbing, light up hula hooping at night. Honestly though I'd just try and soak up every moment of it and make sure you have a lot of fun to look back on.
  21. Avalon I believe in which case yes!!!! I love the Avalon Stage announcement. It always has very random stuff things I love and hate in equal measure.
  22. And Saturday and Sunday Park is?? Pretty please!!
  23. The numbers mean nothing at the end of the day it's the health and fitness that is most important and if you achieved the goal who cares about the number. 1 lb of fat and 1lb of muscle look totally different and occupy completely different amounts of space. I definitely second your appeal for the rain to go away as my main/only exercise is walking I have made so many sacrifices to the rain gods this year. We call it the slope of mild inconvenience with that effort you can call it a mild undulation.
