This isn't meant as the weather thread...just more of a discussion of when would a weather thread would be acceptable !!!
Anyone know when metcheck turn on the glastonbury guess machine ??

usually around a month before the festival the weather threads get a bit chaotic

I'm hoping for loads of rain in early June so we can have a dry Glasto. Although last years weather would be completely acceptable. I still can't believe the mud dried up by Saturday!

By the laws of science any weather forecast that is made more than 6 days in advance is completely unreliable, ...
So i'd say around the 21st/22nd June you can start to throw some trust behind Metcheck for the weekend long forecast. Until then Metcheck is completely pointless.

This winter we have lots of snow so by my logic this summer we will have lots of sun.

I think it could be sunny, or cloudy, or hot, or cold, or muggy, or wet, or dry, or foggy, or windy, or any combination of these.
But definitely not snowing,

I love that weather lore / year ahead page on Metcheck (here).. predicts a monsoon the week of Glasto with 77% confidence!
The third and final wave of the 'European Summer Monsoon' brings more wet and windy weather to the UK with further heavy showers.
Anyway, if anyone has any other long-distance rain forecasts for June, post 'em here! Can't wait till 5 days before to start speculation and the line-up rumour threads have gone quiet so this is a good alternative subject

Not too shabby logic though. Historically the coldest winters are followed by the hottest summers.

well i've only ever been the one time and that was in 2007 and we all know what that was like, yet i still had such an amazing time there and loved it, obviously i would prefer to be able to sit down from time to time and not have my legs ache due to all the sludging about but if that's what happens then there's nothing we can do about it.
i pay a lot off attention to the weather due to my Job and we long are due a hot summer hopefully this will be the year, not too hot and sunny though i am still a ginger and bald and burn int he blink of an eye
