Me too. And do you know why?

Becuase every f**king year someone starts a f**king weather thread in f**king December and it f**king pisses down for the whole f**king weekend as a result of some weird f**king message board karma or whatever. If we stop talking about the f**king weather and just f**king pretend its going to be ok then it will be.

what's wrong with all gathering inside the largest tent in your group and having a chat there? Passing spliffs and hot spiced cider around, listening to the rain on the side of the tent. Apart from not being able to look out over the site it's not all that bad to be stuck inside at night!

William and I had a strong message to anyone who had to trudge through the mud of 2004, 2005 AND 2007.

NO RAIN - NO COMPROMISE.

I put forward this message again for Glastonbury 2009.

2008 was better. If you can keep it nice and enjoyable for you all in 2009, the SCORCHER can return along with me in 2010.

I have *whisper it* good feelings about this year's weather. The good/bad weather years tend to go in groups (97, 98 - bad / 99, 00, 02, 03 - generally good / 04, 05, 07 - generally bad) and last year broke that bad run. I'm hoping that this continues, and improves on last year.

Plus, its been a colder winter than we've had for some time, which some might say holds good omens for the summer. I want a rain free fest!

I think for the moment only positive forecasts should be posted - realism can sink in from May onwards! So with this in mind I am happy to report the following from Weather Online:

*June*

The month begins cool and unsettled, the weather providing limited summer like conditions to the southern half of the UK, mainly a north/south division in conditions.

The middle of the month sees the weather remaining cool and possibly becoming if anything rather more unsettled countrywide for a time, high pressure then taking control from the third week so the prospect of much warmer and summery conditions right the way through until the end of June across the south of the UK, still rather more mixed over northern Briatin.

*July*

High pressure is in control to begin with locally very warm to hot conditions through the first week, although it'll all 'go bang' rather soon into the second week when mixed and cooler Atlantic influences take control.

The middle part of July again looks set to provide a north / south divide with the best of the weather over England and Wales, rather more changeable across northern Britain.

The hint of better conditions during the third week with higher pressure established close by, although the possibility of a cool northerly establishing later in the month.

Have it!

Kernow.

On that Note...

Weatheronline says...

Summer a write-off?

Well, it may be

Issued: 1200hrs Thursday 5th March 2009

Spring is barely here but thoughts are already turning to summer, and here is what our long range specialst captain Bob has to say about it so far...

"The forecast pattern years (which I spend my time constcructing and studying) have held remarkably firm over the last couple of months. If these were to be used for a 'projection' forward to the summer months then a possible scenario for June, July and August 2009 could be as below?"

As I said Emmmmma is right.

The internet is always right too! :)

    • We head out in the morning. Couple of nights in New York then up to Boston. Enjoy the games lads and hopefully we get some great football to take our minds off the whole shitshow off the pitch.
    • White Stripes/QotSA at Harewood 2007, Tramlines (and Blue Dot, same weekend) in '23, and Elbow at Jodrell Bank '13.
    • Yeah exactly, the shock moments, group layouts, etc all end up playing out differently once you get into the tournament. However you tweak it, you don't predict shocks.
