i'm with you WOW, in my head if it rains all apri and the start of may then there wont be any rain left for glastonbury. also i think the should move wimbledon to the begining of june as it always rains at wimbledon so hopefully that to will get it out the way.

WoW speaketh the truth.

I got married on May 5th 2007 - a beautiful sunny day, not a cloud in the sky, nice and hot etc. Perfect.

Look what happened at Glastonbury that year. The weather was SHITE.

Let this good spell we're currently having breed positive, happy, sunny vibes. Let it warm your heart with gladness.

But it does NOT mean that your Glastonbury will be as good.

HOPE for the best people, but make sure you're PREPARED for the worst. Remember the phrase - NO RAIN NO COMPROMISE.

Bump for a timely reminder of this thread's seniority and importance over other, inferior weather threads! :):)

Weather turning downhill this week at last after so much prematurely nice weather recently. And that's a big relief to me. I'll gladly accept a washout Easter and other rainy, cloudy spring weeks to get it all out of the way before the summer!

June

The beginning of June looks toward a typical summer opening, very warm to locally hot across the bulk of the UK with long sunny spells and just scattered thundery showers breaking out. Will it last?

Well, perhaps at most into the beginning of the second week when the flow turns more Atlantic orientated with cloud and rain pushing through all areas, low pressure taking control, all areas becoming cooler and fresher experiencing showers or perhaps patchy rain.

Some recovery in pressure is expected through the middle of the month when it may give the impression that summer will be returning, and indeed some good spells of sunshine can be expected which will lift the temperatures once more, still the risk of patchy rain or showers for most areas, the north and northwest potentially seeing the 'worst' of the conditions.

A return to proper 'westerlies' is anticipated on this pattern through the latter stages of the month, the beginning to an abridged 'European Monsoon' perhaps but too early to tell at this stages.

If I had to stick my neck out even further then on the whole July perhaps not too bad as a summer month goes, August to close to call yet but looking a bit 'iffy' at times.

re this longterm weatheronline forecast.

There will be continued and regular alterations to this as time goes on, some of them quite dramatic changes. Of that we can be sure, it's all FAR too early to say.

Oh, well, in five years time we could be walking round the zoo

With the sun shining down in every me and you

And there’ll be love in the bodys of the elephants tool

I’ll put my hands of your eyes, but you pick throught

And there’ll be sun, sun, sun

All over our bodys.

And sun, sun, sun

I’ll die in next

There’ll be sun, sun, sun

All over our faces

And sun, sun, sun

So, what the hell

‘cause i’ll be laughing around your silly little jokes

And we’ll be laughing about how we use to smoke

All those stupid little cigarretes and drinks to put wine

‘cause it’s what we need to have good times

But it was fun, fun, fun

When we were drinking.

It was fun, fun, fun

When we were drunk

And it was fun, fun, fun

When we were laughing

It was fun, fun, fun

Oh, it was fun.

Oh, well, i look while you’re saying: “it’s the happiest that i’ve ever been”

And i’ll say: “i love to feel that i have to be james dean”

And you say: “yeah, and i feel a pretty happy too, and i’m always pretty happy when i’m just thinking about with you”

And will be love, love, love

Love throught our bodys.

Love, love, love

All throught our minds

And will be love, love, love

All over her face

And love, love, love

All over our minds.

And i’ll remember all these moments suggesting my head

I’ll be thinking about then and there’s lying in bed

And i know that you believe that might not keeping come through

But in my mind i’m having a pretty time with you

Five years time

I might not know it

Five years time

We might not speak

And five years time

We might not care about

Five years time

We might to prove it along

Oh, there’ll be love, love, love

Wherever you go

There’ll be love, love, love

lets sing this allll day everyday until June..

positive vibeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss for some sunnnnnnn baby

From what I can tell, the jet stream has shifted back north again - its this that has brought all the wet weather the last two summers. This should make for a more settled Azores high and a much better summer.

Pack your suncream folks, it's gonna be a scorcher

edit to add

Thugh of course you cant actually forecast specific conditions at specific times this far in advance.

as far as lat year's weather goes, I reckon a post of water on the Wednesday and Thursday can go down a treat, if we have to have rain. Let's this famous 'Glasto spirit' set in by the lovely, glorious Friday, and everything rolls on gloriously.

If we have to have rain, make it early on, please god. A rainy sunday would be unbearable........

Hi everyone, this is the first time I have visited the weather thread this year. Last year was a real roller coaster for everyone but really made the build up even more exciting! I will be hanging on the every word of the legend that is WOW.

So how is the jet stream?

    • i like em. Never seen em. Wont shell out the £150-odd they'd want for their own tickets, though.  But i agree with everyone else here, i cant see em at glastonbury, and i'd struggle to see where they'd headline somewhere else - yer smaller festivals wont be able to afford them, and the bigger ones just wouldnt see em as relevant. They should do Bearded Theory, itd be amazing! (but wont happen, i know)
    • I'm hoping for this to turn up on TFG or similar as I have noticed this too. Fingers crossed 🙂
    • For those who have been to Roskilde before, what is it like for getting a phone signal? To my disappointment, they won't be showing any football matches anywhere so I'm thinking of taking my laptop and trying to hotspot the match on my phone data.   I've had success with this in the past, but never at such a big festival and I've never been to Denmark so not sure how viable this plan is!
    • This Iron maiden thingo at Knebworth seems like its going to be Blue Light bound, i dont think ive ever known another gig to be so pushed on social media and via email! I've been emailed at least five times a week for the last couple of months.    ive entered the ballot for VIP tickets via blue light, and im sure they're going to email me with a 'hey! you didnt win, but as a special thanks here's some half price tickets, fill yer boots' offer in due course - wish there was a way of seeing how many tickets are sold, itd be fascinating reading
    • Bits was absolutely massive. What was it? Three or four stages plus Soho House plus a beach plus would be people transitioning between the stages plus in the chillout areas.   No way was there only 1,000 people in it. When I saw Sofia Kourtesis there it felt like there were just that number watching here alone.
