my first and only love so far in my life, got married tonight and I didn't know she was even engaged. it feels weird, strange and saddening even though I'm over her.....does that makes sense. is it normal to feel sad, I'm completely happy for her but it's just a strange feeling. :D

my mate offended the whole nation the other day.

he pulled a polish girl out in our local club, but then couldn't go any further with it, as his mate was f**ked, and him worried about her being a girl, getting home safely etc, said that he'd need to take her home, which this polish girl got in a right strop about and said to him, "not that she or her friends didn't like him", but that......

"poland didn't like him" :D

Know the feeling, my distant ex and former fiancée recently facebooked me, seems she's engaged again but this time I think "terminally" so!

I have been pondering whether I should be bothered about being bothered, or indeed smug as the fella she's marrying is bald and ugly!:D

Like you, in the strictest sense she was my first and only love... ;)

Still - onward and sideways Ralphy!!!

Ah exes. My fave.

My first love/loss of sense got married back in 2002. Her child, also my child, calls my replacement dad and doesn't wish to see me as I'm 'not special' (Psychotherapy session CIRCA 2007).

However, this is meant to be a rare story of hope. On marrying him I felt completely detached from her. Not rid of or over, but detached - no emotional response, complete indifference, nothingness.

This was a great feeling and one that empowered me again. That is, until I came acrsoss another rare breed of cumly wench, who after indulging my tainted behaviour (read by me as cool and edgy) decided to convey the exact same indifference towards me. My conclusion is that indifference is not only the opposite to love, but is the opposite of life itself - I may have thought about it too hard, but I'm nonetheless convinced.

Anyway, moral is, when they marry, you won't give a rats ass and will feel very empowered and free.

Alternatively, burn them.

    • Fontaines getting the honour of the last ever BBC Maida Vale session going out on 6 Music shortly.   No Glastonbury relevance (for now.. ), just thought I'd mention it for those who are interested 😎
    • Had a wonderful booking in one of our primary woodland venues this weekend. A 30th birthday arranged by a load of musicians and entertainment industry professionals. It was primarily a folk oriented event, however I noticed one young woman who didn’t seem to fit dress and appearance wise. Turned out to be Frenetic, one of the top up and coming UK Jungle and DnB DJ’s.    Anyway Saturday night turned into an EDM session and I got to do a set. Slightly nervous considering who was there, it was great and Frenetic loved my set. She’s closing Data Mine at Shambala this year.
    • they got lucky and the thunderstorms stayed away. It was still wet of course. Some of those boot sucking puddles did emerge from what a couple friends saw who were there.  Post fest aerial also below   and also a sapphic mud wrestling contest?
    • It's even less funny when in real life too...   Liddle met Rachel Royce and the couple soon became romantically involved.[84] In January 2004 the couple married at a ceremony in Malaysia. They had been living in Heytesbury, Wiltshire, and had two sons together. Six months later, Liddle moved in with Alicia Monckton, a 22-year-old receptionist at The Spectator. It transpired that he had cut short his honeymoon with Royce so that he could be with Monckton. Following their divorce, Liddle and Royce exchanged attacks in the media. Liddle called her a "total slut and slattern"
