Well we discussed it the other week and agreed that we don't think it'd be wise to do anything serious since we're stuck living together for two years and we're such good friends, I think we both know it wouldn't actually work out in the long run. It's a sort of..."I'm lonely, you're lonely, fancy a snog?" kind of thing. And I think we're both comfortable with that. It's not awkward or anything. So it's fiiiine.

mate I thought as much - just had to try tell myself otherwise, thought she was actually alright

whenever I try and talk about anything where it's all crazy/bullshit as I said before she just says 'can we change the subject'

I won't bother speaking to her again mate, it's beyond a joke..2nd week she's back here and didnt contact me,last week said she was in Preston..this weekend, said she'd text me when she's back..didnt, then updates facebook saying shes had a good few days in stoke..give it a rest eh

II just never know what to do, she phones me crying about uni, etc - happens again I should just hangup or not answer I guess? No point putting up with her i guess!!

I just feel a mug for actually bothering, sending her flowers for her first day at uni, arranging friday night etc..to just be stood up :)

Don't feel a mug.... we've all fallen foul to people like this along the way.  But I echo everyone else, she is a loon.  Get rid!  My hometown is Stoke and I live in Preston now and I can tell you the things she says aren't true (and I don't drive particularly economically)...lol.

Don't be tempted to get in touch with her either.  Delete her off FB, delete her number and dont answer her calls or texts.  As hard as it is you have to be strict with yourself.  Plenty of other (less psycho) fish in the sea :)

Driving back down south tomorrow to go back to work in the afternoon.

Still totally worth it :)

I had a horrid date, the lass had a last minute meeting come up after work so she texted me she'd be late by 30 mins, so I go there at the original time and figure I'd have 1 drink whilst I wait. The 30 mins ended up being over 2 hours and I was getting regular texts evey 10/20 mins saying I will be another 10 mins late so she finally get's there and I'm on my 7 pint and she's knackered from work but I still manage to get kiss at the end of it.

    • New Overmono album is... just good for me. Had high hopes which were later dashed a bit after listening to some of the singles but they brought me back around enough to appreciate some very nice work in there. https://music.apple.com/ie/album/pure-devotion/1894298100
    • I don't really worry about headliners (unless there's a real possibility of a once-in-a-lifetime artist landing for it) but I'm starting to feel a bit cold on the names floating around bar Fontaines.  Harry Styles and Sam Fender, I can see the value and commercially speaking, they've earned it.  Sabrina Carpenter is obviously popular enough to do it - but after she's headlined everywhere else and done Coachella earlier this year, is it not just a bit predictable to follow what other festivals have done?
    • Bollocks to “safe” headliners, bollocks to the masses. Get interesting, get risky, challenge people.
    • The Cure would be a dream, I can definitely see them doing a second run of festivals they may have missed this year and they seem the definitive Latitude act  If they do festivals next year maybe The Strokes could be a shout? Im stunned either them or Kings of Leon haven't played yet This is a great shout for names, youre right that CMAT is taking a year out though - we're like to know more in the autumn when festivals start making announcements  The only other act I'd really love to see is Idles headline the tent
