Hmm... I could actually go to Glastonbury next year for the first time ever as I can book holidays, but it's a bit scary :D Still got one foot in this thread and one foot out :D Wish I'd seen Culty's post before the edit!

Oh and......

I had one of those nights where you go out to meet a girl who likes you, and when you get there you fancy her friend more than her, but you pull her anyway, and then you see the girl you used to stalk and you really want to stalk her again, but you can't because you're with the other girl, so you just finger her on the dance floor and then get a taxi home.

p.s. none of these girls was 'bunique'.

sorry, :D

it wasn't meant to be taken literally, just a cheeky play on the words; you have one foot somewhere and the other somewhere else so was your legs would be apart.....

:D

hides behind sofa from "angry bunique"

    • Madonna lived in the UK for absolutely ages and I think is still largely London-based at the moment.  I'm sure she'll be well aware.     But it wouldn't need to be either / or.  Lots of acts do both  - Glastonbury for the hype and BST for the pay.
    • There is a chance that Norton's reaction was very much like our reaction, because people in this country tend to think 'big = Glastonbury'.   Having said that, though, I'm fairly sure they've gone for her again this time, and it's broken down. Whether it's only just broken down or not, I'm not sure, but I'd air on the side of - they thought they had her, up to a certain point.
    • Yeah, I did wonder if they might be getting too big for Piece Hall now. Wet Leg did Castlefield this year and were subbing them at Tramlines. Wishful thinking! I'd happily see them do another outdoor headline in the north of England, wherever it might be (except R+L, which I'm def too old for now 😂)
    • You've certainly got a bunch of American acts who absolutely adore the festival and are willing to bring peanuts for it. You can never discount The Killers on that basis.
    • Law unto herself, Madge. But I think, for a certain generation, Hyde Park still has a touch of mystery and magic - that and Wembley Stadium.
