I'd imagine if knowing you are likely to react in such a way, then they have strong feelings for one another what with running the wrath of greeneyes.

Assume they are in love. Hypothetically, for me please. Would you not be happy for them?

I wouldn't "go after" anyone. I think such matters have to be handled in a certain way ; show some respect to your friend for sure, almost ask his permission to go out with her for example.

But I wouldn't feel that I have the right to stop anyone from seeing anyone else, and I wouldn't be mates with someone who thought they had the right to punch me if I did. It's smacks of ownership.

It says "I'm doing this with your knowledge and not hiding it behind your back". I thought again that was fairly obvious. It says "we are serious about this, and it's not just me f**king your sister". It's like asking the father's permission to marry. Would any father ever so no, to the man who makes his daughter happy? And what power does he have if he says no? Nothing. No power. It's a mark of respect.

If you know someone well and like them, then why can't that person form a relationship with someone you care about, assuming that that person also knows them and likes them?

I think the chances of everything blowing up and everybody falling out are about the same as 2 nice people forming a great relationship with the help of their friends and family. Obviously, in this case, the chances of either happening are zero. How paranoid can one person be?

Ummm, how do you find out if you're into someone without dating them? Unless you already know them well of course.

So no gifts allowed on the first date then.

Personally I don't usually tend to go out on dates with someone that I don't already know and know that I'm in to. Infact, TBH, I usually end up pulling a lass or going further and then going on dates and seeing if it's something that should be persuade further or just being left as a casual thing.
